It's a little boring to me repeat every time my preferences every time As Robert probably hasn't seen this yet, perhaps I can help: it is generally stated with each upload whether the old .opt file can be used. If it can, just save it and copy it into the new Morinus directory. This will preserve your earlier settings. Quote Wed Apr 29, 2009 3:28 pm

40 by yuzuru hi, I couldn?t, by the life of me, install morinus in my macbook. In windows it was child?s play, but Apple seems a whole other history. Anybody has any advice for the computer illiterate? All that python installation doesn?t seem to help... 41 by august47 I am a hoary (not horary) pc user (back to dos 2.1) but am surrounded by MACFanatics: I know nothing about using/compiling source code, but know you can't run an exe file on a mac, so a) you need to learn how to install the source code version from a brighter individual than I (there are many such) or b) use the windows version within a mac/pc environment like Parallel or similar. - I did have to create a one-line batch file to run Morinus from a desktop icon, however. 42 by yuzuru Thanks Gabriel. I tried, but the python thing was not very friendly. I studied C and Pascal at college, but Macs are a mystery to me. 45 by Olivia Okay, Steven, can you give us a brief tutorial on directing the planets through the bounds? I had no problems installing Python, I'd had to do that for another proggie anyway, but I think I broke the primary directions function in Morinus when I tried to set it to show direction by term. Settings, please, if you have the time? I would be very grateful, as I'm currently working my way through Abu Ma'shar's On Solar Revolutions! Quote Sat Jun 27, 2009 10:32 am

Hi Olivia and Steven, I don't understand why I don't get notified in email in case of a new comment. Ok Steven, I am planing to add either User2 point as significator or an arabic parts selection to the PDs dialog Olivia: software companies usually have testers but I don't. It is possible(or certain) that there are bugs in the program but it is really difficult to find it. This is why the users should report bugs(with the chart data and the settings, you can also send me the Morinus.opt file if you are using version 2.0). I have just tried the terms(PDs) with my own chart and there was no problem. regards, rob Quote Sat Jun 27, 2009 1:20 pm
47 by Tom I don't understand why I don't get notified in email in case of a new comment. This happens to me quite a bit. If the topic is lengthy I usually stop getting e-mails after the 2nd or third notification. If a long time elapses between posts I get them - sometimes many months after the last post, even though recent posts don't result in a notification. You have to check back from time to time. 48 by Deb Occasionally people report problems regarding email acknowledgements of new posts or registrations from this forum. The problem is almost always caused by spam blockers in email programs, which sometimes identifies these posts as junk. I don't know why it doesn't happen consistently thought, sorry.
