Update - The Warning of Death given to Henry II of France

Gauricus and the Warning of Death given to Henry II

This article is not exactly contemporary, but it is very topical to the debates that are currently active on the site. Rectification, primary directions, eclipses ? it has all those, whilst being educational for those with an interest in the Royal line of France :)

The bottom line is that this is a really good story with some very interesting astrology ? even those who know the story already should find some new, intriguing food for thought.

Interesting post Deb. For those who are working with Solar Fire you must use a birth date of March 31st 1519 since Solar Fire uses (defaulted) the Old Style (OS) calendar. Also, in order to produce a 3 degree Ascendant (Tropical) one must use a birth time of 7:11:04 AM.

Thanks Steve

I think I put the rectified data at the bottom of page 1, but I didn't stress that I had updated to the Gregorian calendar there and elsewhere JC means that the Julian calendar is being used.
The time is for the nearest computer match but the positions in the chart are exact reproductions of those in the historical charts - so it is simply the historical chart, presented in a more familiar modern format.

BTW, I'm going to lock this thread because there is no easy way for me to move responses over to the other thread which has already been started, and it would be good to keep all the comments together in one place.

Thanks again for the feedback
Deb
