Background: Unique_Astrology had posted some examples using a specific technique relating to progressing a Lunar Return. I was interested in checking those techniques for myself. As I could not find the links to the articles, I inquired directly from the man, himself; and he was kind enough to post an example (as you can see below).

Hello,

Can you give those links again for the "new technique" pages?

I know that you did once before, but I can't find them, even when I searched for all your posts. (I have to admit that I have two yardapes climbing me like Everest, so I'm a little bit distracted)

THANKS!

Peace

Here is a worked example for the receipt of a school award during graduation excercises. Certainly a Sun and Jupiter event in the life of an 8 year old.

It seems to be a response to an exchange in the "How many Astrological Methods do we need?" thread.

Matt

PS. Hi Central. Are those kids reading this over your shoulder? If so can their uncle Matt give them a message? Today the 2nd August is an ancient festival day.Children by tradition have licence to behave badly today :brows

Hi Deb,
Can someone explain what this thread is about? I'm not sure why's its in the 'Philosophy & Science' section.
I was planning to open a thread about a test of astrological techniques which I also intended to place here, under the heading 'Science'.
If there was a section 'Astrological Techniques and Research' it would clearly fit there.
Where do you think is the right place for such discussions?

Ren?

Deb,

The question was HERE, only because it was spawned from something that UniqueAstrology had said here. You are right though, it is not really Philosophy, though in some sense it is Science.

He's answered it now... feel free to move it. ;)

I don't mind that the question is here in this forum. But there should be some explanation of what the thread is about when a new thread is opened. I have had very little time for the forum over the last few days (the same is true today) so it isn't obvious to me that this is an offshoot of another thread. But it shouldn't need to be obvious, because over time the two threads will become separated.

From a reader's point of view it is confusing to open up a thread and have no idea what it is discussing. As a moderator I'm inclined to remove those sorts of threads. Better to keep this in the original discussion unless a new topic of discussion is being raised, and if so that needs some kind of introduction.

C. - perhaps you could you edit the opening post to explain at the start what it is dealing with? This is still not clear to me.

I'll also ask Garry to check this to see what he thinks

Deb

I went back and gave an introduction in the first post, so that no one will suddenly find themselves disoriented by the lack of graceful segue...or find themselves amongst intimidating quandaries lacking immediate resolution.

Yours is not the only Forum wherein I have misfiled posts or induced confusion. Consider yourself in elite company! ;)

Hope this helps! I'll try to be more circumspect in the future.

Unique_Astrology,

For someone that is new to the ideas that you are presenting...can you give a few comments about your rectification procedure that you mentioned previously.

(Right now, I am studying your Michael Jackson rectification that you posted on another website...)

I am trying to wrap my mind around your methodology.

Thanks!

Hi CS,

The intro you've added is exactly what was needed I think. This whole thread might fit better under 'Techniques' than 'Philosophy/Science' but I'll leave that to Deb.
