Sick Father

I really need some help with this one, partly because I am not too experienced with medical charts, and partly because of the emotional nature of this.

The chart was done for 9:10 PM EST (-5 hours GMT) at 38 N 52, 77 W 13, on January 10, 2005. The situation is that my father is sick in the hospital. I asked the question would he live, and I guess there was another question in mind about if he didn?t live how would my brother and sister act.

I would definitely turn this chart, as it?s not so much about me as it is about my father. So he?s shown by the 4th house and its ruler Jupiter. The illness is shown by his turned 6th house and its ruler Venus. The chart is radical as the planetary hour is Saturn, which is of the same nature as the ASC, i.e., cold and dry.

This is about all I am sure of. My father, as shown by Jupiter, is stronger in dignity that the disease, Venus is. So that means that he is stronger than the illness. But Jupiter is in a sign that is ruled by Venus, the disease so that doesn?t sound good. It?s like the illness controls him. Saturn is in his turned 8th house, and the Moon?s last aspect was an opposition to it.

Jupiter is in the turned 11th house, which is the house of luck and hope and also the house wherein Jupiter has its joy.

The Moon is void of course, and in fact is almost at the end of the 29th degree of Capricorn. So nothing more can be done, and there will be a change in his condition.

I can understand the part about my brother and sister better. They are shown by the ruler of the 3rd house, Mars. They are in the 4th house so they are with my father, and are in a sign that is ruled by his significator. So their motives are good.

I am confused about the differing signs that show that he is stronger than the illness and the others that don?t look so good. How do I weigh these to come to a sound answer? And I know I must have missed something. If anyone can add something, please do.

Dear Mark,

I think that maybe nobody will want or dare to answer such serious question in a forum and without personal contact, or just at all. No one will want to hurt feelings and predict disastrous outcome anonymously, nor give rise to false hope.

I am no exception. Just want to let you know, I am feeling with you.

Especially so, since in a kind of synchronicity I have asked nearly the same question on the same day, only for my mother.

Take care!

I'm not sure I could ever be confident with interpreting a chart where the Moon is in 29 degrees of a sign. I know that having one or two of the "strictures" present should not mean that the chart can't be judged at all.....but personally, I wouldn't want to come to any final conclusions on a chart where either the Ascendant or ESPECIALLY the Moon is in 28 or 29 degrees of a sign...
