So my Sun is 21Gem01. I look under Gem and go down to 21 and find 62m5s which is 01:02:05. So would I in Morinus under the key use the user section then and put 01:02:05 for the user settings?
If you want to use this key (which is the key of Brahe, although Lilly gets it from Magini), it is better to choose 'Dynamic' and then 'True Solar Equatorial Arc (Birthday)'. Lilly himself recommended Naibod's key as 'the most exactest'. :D

I am not sure why Rapt parallel has gone missing from To-do's . I note that there is something about midpoint and Rapt parallel but, how do I work out when the rapt parallel happens across the 7th house or the 10th house etc.

I couldn't get the Morinus working in Linux but works fine with Wine under Linux.

I modified my webpage yesterday(TODO, Linux, ...).
The Rapt Parallels is difficult for me. If I knew how to implement it, I would have done it a long time ago :)
I installed Ubuntu Linux and then Morinus on it at least 10 times in the past 1.5 years without problems.
I also tested it on Red Hat(Fedora) and Debian Linux distributions as it can be seen on my webpage.

Thanks Rob,
? Does Sepharial help or hinder?

I have ubuntu jaunty as well- but I am new to Linux and Terminally challanged :-cry

I can only manage the synaptic package manager or some package files which automatically point to the relevant installer.

My ultimate aim is to run everything on Puppy Linux.

No, Sepharial doesn't help. In the meantime you can use other programs that calculate Rapt Pars.

Ubuntu Linux:
Open a terminal (Applications Menu/Accessories/Terminal) and type:
sudo apt-get install python-wxgtk2.8
type your password (sudo means: superuser do) and press Enter
Then copy sweastrology.so to the directory where morinus.py is.
By using the Terminal go to the directory where Morinus-source is.
Type:
python ./morinus.py

A few notes:
- as far as I know only a superuser can install packages (a superuser is the administrator on Windows )
- when you start a terminal it puts you into your home directory see the usefull commands below, Enter needs to be pressed after them of course

pwd - print working directory (where you are now)
ls - list
cd - change directory (you can enter a subdirectory with this command)
cd .. - go up one directory, the opposite of cd (cd space and two dots is the exact command)

A Linux user needs to learn the command line it is much more powerful then a graphical user interface. :)

I mean for programmers... The two planets can be anywhere in the radix chart and a program should try to calculate the rapt parallels for every planet-pair and discard the raptpars > 100 years.

Would you agree with Charles Carter that at least symbolically- M.C directed to midpoint of two planets is the same as those two planets rapt parallel the M.C ?

How much difference would there be between thereal rapt paralell value or this symbolic rapt parallel.

I don't know. You should ask Martin about this. :???:
