It's quite straightforward really. I'll give you a couple of examples from last weekend which I managed to win some money on.

2.25 Haydock - Moon opp Saturn. Confront won at 7/2 (decimal odds 4,50:1)

4.50 York - Mars conj Desc. Violent Velocity came 2nd at 12/1 (a decent price for an each-way bet)

Here's one I didn't get on Monday when we had Moon in Aries sextile Jupiter - Fortunes of Fire won at 40/1! Easy to see with hindsight but perhaps not so obvious beforehand.

Ficina, also, did you have any "lucky" indicators relating to your own natal last weekend?

Here are three possibles for later this afternoon with current prices.

Moon in Taurus square Venus in Leo -

5.25 Doncaster - Feelin Foxy 11/2 (one of two mares in race)

5.00 Epsom - Belle des Airs 13/2 (one of two fillies in race)

Mars conj Desc -

4.40 Uttoxeter - On You Go 11/4

Actually it was one particular transit that made me look at the racing on Saturday because it's been fortunate for me in the past. Transit Venus opp Venus and square Jupiter. Pity it only happens once a year!

aha! So maybe the transits of the better do influence their ability to pick winners? Combined with whatever method you want to use to pick those winners, maybe this is the area we should concentrate on?

My natal jup transit mentioned earlier perfects again early December, trine from 8th, other people's money to natal 11th "pennies from heaven".. if that doesn't let me win big nothing will, surely???

Do they still have horse racing in December? Maybe Andrew Bevan can let me in on tips for reindeer racing? : )

Well there are 3 of us in this thread so that's 3 opportunities each year, if we pool out transits..

Thanks Just as well since the other two failed. Feelin Foxy was beaten into 2nd place and On You Go was a very disappointing 4th.

The one winner more than covered the losses so at the end of the day I'm in profit, phew!

7/1 was a good price from Hills. Unfortunately I decided to take the SP which ended up at 11/2. That's always a difficult decision to make when placing the bets - whether to take a price or go with the SP.

It's OK, there's racing all year round in the UK. In the winter it's mainly over the jumps but there's still some flat racing on the all-weather tracks.

Yes, but, overall with each way bets you would be well ahead. Incidentally, William Hill do "best odds", check it out. Also, there's a pundit on there called Ken.. he's good! Maybe HE had good transits, but combining his tips and my astrology, I was well ahead in August.

This Sat, 15/09/09, 15:15 Doncaster THE ST LEGER STAKES, oldest classic race apparently. According to Frawley, the more important the race, the better the astrology works, so perfect for testing our theories.

What do you think? Finica, can you get the tail end of your lucky transit by judging the chart NOW!??

Which adds another element... does your "lucky transit" apply to ALL the judgments you make at AT THAT TIME.. or does the race have to be run when your transit is active?

And, ... which house system do you use?
