rulership question

does anyone know what house might rule Insurance? would it be different for different kinds? or just one house?

ps I'm thinking 8th because no matter what you insure you are betting about death and/or destruction.... but would like to know if something else has been or is used

Id agree with you the 8th being the house where you'd find insurance matters And Pluto having things to do with this topic - a lot of Sagittarius' seemed to have big power struggles and ongoing issues with Insurance companies when Pluto went through this sign.

Agreeing with all of you the 8th house being that one assigned to insurances I think it signifies these because it is the second of the seventh: It is the money of others which is given to you for the losses and damages of your own goods.

Yes, the type of insurance does not make that much of difference as long as the object (property) insured is not included in the questuion; it's the house of other people's money, taxes, loans, insurances...we also get loans for all sorts of things but we still use the 8th ruler as the ruler of themoney borrowed, taxes payed etc.! Similarly- we give our money "away" ina way when paying our insurances and with the purpose of making sure that, in cases of damage or loss, our expences are covered!

Insurance is merely a bet that whatever it is, life, health, property will not be lost, and if that happens the other person pays up, I attribute it to 8 because of its darkside myself, just wondered what others reasoning was. and I was thinking specifically of the companies in this case, which made them seem even mroe 8th house oriented to me.
