Over the past week I've noted that the favourite wins when the Moon is applying sextile or trine the MC within 1??. If it's 2? or more, it doesn't seem to work, apart from one occasion when the race started 4 minutes late.

The 8.45 race at Wolverhampton this evening has Moon sextile MC. Will have to wait until nearer the start time to find out who the favourite is.

4.15 at Newmarket the Moon is trine MC. It is partile but separating so I'm thinking this is probably no good. For observation only!

A couple of other things: North Node conjunct Asc - favourite wins. Pluto conjunct Asc - favourite loses. Partile and applying only.

Even though the race started 2? mins late, the favourite still won - just! Bab at The Bowster, 4/1.

Hi Goca,

I've had a look at the chart for your 4.10 Pontefract race and see NN conj Asc, partile but separating, so it will be interesting to see how that turns out. According to the early prices, the current favourites are All About You and Roar of Applause. We will have to wait and see where the money is going nearer the start of the race.

The favourites have been doing very badly today, with only 3 having won so far across all meetings. Not so surprising with Moon being VOC. Perhaps Star Links will be better off not being favourite! Looks like Roar Of Applause is the clear favourite with the race about to start.

What is the VOC 'method'? I wouldn't expect the favourites to do well when Moon is VOC, especially when it is right at the end of a sign, as it is today. Not that I've made a study of it because it's so difficult to generalise. With so many races every day, it's impossible that all the favourites will lose. Still only 3 winners today though, after 17 races!

Make that 3 out of 20! Well below the norm of 30%.
