Well, trigon is a term commonly used for a trine in many languages, probably in yours too. The good thing about this place is that it allows people from all over the world to share their knowledge and experiences- minor "mistakes" are inevitable as we're all juggling between our mother tongue, English and often terms picked in foreign literature. :)

and, speaking of getting things wrong:
However, I don't believe this man was dishonest. I knew he was dating other women while dating me, it's just that I thought he needed "space" due to his recent divorce and wasn't ready for a relationship. I was hurt to learn that I was wrong about that
I thought you only found that out in April!

It was April when I found out he was engaged. However, I knew he was dating other women while he dated me... if that makes things more clear.

But back to my more recent question

Ok, but I am still hoping for comments regarding my interpretation of the most recent chart I've done: the "Is the Rumor" true chart with 25 Libra rising... my interpretation is that it appears as though his marriage will not take place due to the impending new Moon, and the separating aspect of the radical 11th (him as my friend) to the ruler of his 7th (radical fifth), or using the radical 7th as his ruler, the separating aspect between Mars and Venus.

More surprising developments in this horary!

To follow up on how this original horary "Is It Over" is playing out: I posted a thread in July after receiving an email from my former lover stating he now wants to be friends. All was well with that although we only posted messages (and a couple innocuous emails) on a social networking site for several weeks.

Then, out of the blue, in the third week of Sept, I got a text from him stating his financee had attempted suicide and was in the hospital!

That was followed by a flurry of texts and phone calls and finally a face to face visit from him. The financee survived and their wedding is still on.

So in terms of my "is the rumor true" chart regarding his wedding announcement (at least insofar as it was "heard" by me) it appears as though at least for now, my interpretation of that chart is not correct: i.e., I had predicted the wedding would not occur.

On the other hand, my interpretion of the "Is it Over" chart told me the relationship was not over, and it appears that is true -- at least for now!

Yes, but was the question "is it over" of a romantic relationship or one of friendship? As Deb already mentioned, this chart showed him wanting to be friends but there is no real future here in regards to a romantic connection. I hope that you don't have false hopes over something that is likely to be disappointing for you.

I would say your original interpretation that the wedding will not occur IS CORRECT (weak Merc/him in applying Opposition to weak retrograde Jup./fiance, and each of them in their own self-destructive 12th houses.). But even if they did get married, which I doubt, I can't imagine that it would last long.
On the other hand, my interpretion of the "Is it Over" chart told me the relationship was not over, and it appears that is true -- at least for now!
I agree with this too, as long as you're willing to accept him and his continued overtures on a FRIENDSHIP basis only, (Merc./ruler of 11th/him, though weak, is in applying sextile to relatively strong Venus/you).

I also get the impression that your friend's vanity and love of drama are key motivators for him at this point in time. (He is weak Merc in Leo, and last aspect of Moon is in combust conjunction to Sun, Mercury's Ruler, in his 12th. Also, in the original chart of "is the relationship over?", the last aspect of Moon/him was a square to Sun in his weak 6th and weak radical 12th).

But the bottom line seems to be you're in a much stronger position now and seeing things clearly (Again, Moon/Venus/you are pretty strong in the 9th, having gotten out of the dark 8th).

BTW, thanks a lot for all the updates on this situation!

Is it over update

Well, my original question: "Is it Over" did apply to a romantic situation. The way I read the chart, I was Saturn (makes sense as I'm much older then he) and he is Mercury, ruler of the fifth house of lovers. Those two planets are in mutual reception and applying. So that's why I thought there would be a time for our romantic relationship to be rekindled.

We'll see! I'll keep you posted on both charts.

I see what you mean

The interesting thing is when I asked the question: "Is it Over" our relationship was not over -- at least officially. It was about 10 days later that I got a letter from him indicating he was not going to see me again, and several months later I learned he was engaged.
