The rank outsiders, Malawi, beat Algeria 3-0 and now Burkina Faso have held Ivory Coast to a 0-0 draw. Ivory Coast were even shorter-priced favourites than Algeria to win their game and in fact are favourites to win the whole tournament.

What a very strange tournament this is, to be sure :?

I tried to post a chart on the Ivory Coast game, but then the internet went down. It looked like a draw. Although it doesn't make sense in terms of team strengths.

Ivory Coast - Burkina Faso, 17.00 CST Cabinda 5S22 12E12
Odds: 1.28 4.98 10.27
Asc 0CN48 MC 3AR22 Moon 11SG16 POF 20TA43
Day Moon, Hour Mars -radical by triplicity
Radicality by triplicity has a liking for draws. POF is trine her dispositor, Venus, who is cazimi. Yet Saturn, L7, is on the IC and opposes the MC, favourite, or seals the match.

The result was a 0-0 draw. This is the third game in the tournement and all have provided unlikely results.

Clubs and players are asking for the tournement to be called off due security requirements not being in met. I do claim that everything that has been seen so far witnesses of total upset. :(

I do think that this matter will be decided upon before the new Moon and probably as the Moon enters Capricorn. This occurs on 13 January, at which time Saturn is stationary.

On 15 January there is an Annular eclipse - Neptune is on the ascendant of Luanda at 25AQ39. The ascendant is ruled by Saturn in the 8th. Venus, lady of the 4th is combust the eclipse. Mercury, Lord of the 5th, is stationary. The annular eclipse might just signify the annulment of the tournement.

Egypt- Nigeria, 17.00 CST
I've been to busy today to give this too much thought, but Moon is Lady of ascendant, cadent and in an exact square with Uranus. Saturn, lord 7th, is hanging on the IC with one degree distance to Mercury. Maybe an 0-1 scoreline?

The game has started and Nigeria are already 1-0 up, so I think I'll give this one a miss. Anyway I need to practise standing on my head before I attempt to interpret any more of these charts

18
Well, Nigeria got their 1 goal. But where did Egypt get their 3?
The Moon L1 is doing nothing, so let's just play a game of numbers:
The Moon is 23 Sag. - I'll call that a 3! :-T

As not to disgrace the site, I think I'll just point out that has got nothing to do with traditional astrology or any other form of serious astrology as we recognize it.

Cameroon - Gabon, 17.00 CST
Odds: 1,45 4,25 7,00
Asc 29GE54 MC 7AR06 Moon 5CP34 POF 12GE06
Day Mercury, Hour Jupiter
This chart is interesting. The ascendant is on the cusp of two signs and void. Saturn is stationary on the IC only 6 minutes prior to match start. That's unusual. What does it mean? The Moon is in her detriment, disposed by the stationary Saturn, separating from the stationary Saturn but applying to retrograde Mercury, who is stationary the day after tomorrow!

Does the game start, is it delayed? Does the one team get parked?
Fortuna is untouched. Mars, L10, is unaspected. It could be an either/or...
0-0 at 12:1 or 5-0 at 40:1

Let's test out some goal-scoring options. If the game starts on time, the Asc changes sign within half a minute. That would have to be a very early goal and the game might start a bit late anyway, so perhaps this should be disregarded. Pluto crosses Desc at 5.16pm, followed by Moon and Mercury at 5.25pm. At 5.35pm the hour changes from Jupiter to Mars, and Moon conjunct Mercury perfects.

1st goal odds:
0-10 mins 4.00
11-20 mins 4.50
21-30 mins 6.00
31-40 mins 7.50

Take your pick :)

Considering that the ascendant is on the cusp of Gemini to Cancer and Mercury and Luna are running into one another - that could support the idea of the early goal.

Then if we fly to the Moon (Cancer=Africa) and Swing among the Stars, we might just see another Spring on the cusp of Jupiter and Mars. :brows

Yes, that's true.

Assuming the 1st goal is actually scored in the 1st 40 minutes, you could put a bob on all four options and still make a small profit or, at worst, break even.
