My friend's grandfather was confirmed there is tumour in his lung.
He just done a testing to see if it is cancer or not.
Report will be released next Wed.

So my friend asked "Will the tumour kills grandfather ?"

Grandfather : Saturn (7H - 4th from 4H)
Sickness (tumour) : Moon (12H - 6th from 7H)

Saturn and Moon are both in 2H, which is grandfather's 8H, the house of death...very negative sign.
However, Saturn is exalt and his is strong, Moon is moving toward house cusp of his 9H, maybe it can bring some light here ?

POF is in 10H, which is the 4H of grandfather, showing the result, but it makes no aspect to neither Saturn or Moon.
Jupiter is in grandfather's house, can it help ?

Im a novice at this, but I thought I'd have a try to get you thinking while you wait for an expert to reply.

I would use the 4th house for grandparents, which would give Mars retrograding into the 12th house of hospitals as his significator.

I think John Frawley wrote somewhere that a significator on the ASC meant that person was weighing on the querent's mind (Im not sure about this, that would need to be checked).

Mars as the grandfather makes sense to me as the querent Lord 1 (sun) and Lord 4 (mars) are in mutual reception which to me shows the regard they have for each other. Then count 6th house from the fourth for his disease, which is also the retrograde mars.

Also as mars is in the 10th house from the 4th, I thought this could signify that he is having treatment, perhaps an operation or biopsy. The Sun rules the treatment, again the sun and mars are in mutual reception. The Sun has some accidental dignity, being conjunct venus and the north node.

His 8th house is ruled by Mercury which makes no aspect to mars, and so I thought that was a good sign? Lord 8 is combust (weakened) as it is retrograding toward the sun (treatment). That looks like treatment overcomes death to me. Also the treatment (sun) is stronger than the disease, so again that looks like treatment will work.

I hope I haven't confused the issue, I was unsure whether to give this a try as it is such a sensitive topic. I do not know how to see death in a chart, so I am not sure if I have answered the question (instead I have made the question more "Will he be cured?"

In my opinion, there's no need to turn the chart in order to find the house signifying grandfather - the 4th rules ancestors, old people(grandfathers/grandmothers) so I would take Mars to signify grandfather, the secondary significator is the Moon.
Mars is ill disposed being retrograde, a sign of serious weakness/illness. The radical 8th, as well as the turned 8th, are equally important in such questions.
Both rulers are able to kill.
The ruler of the turned 8th, Mercury, doesn't aspect neither the Moon nor Mars, and that is good news, of course.
The Moon being in Via Combusta is a sign of trouble and anxiety, but the good news, again, is the following - Moon separates from Mars and applies to Jupiter(lord of the radical 8th - death) BUT, and this is very important - the lord of the house of death(JU) receives the lord of the house of life(Moon) into his triplicity and term and this means that death will not take your friend's grandfather this time, this being a perfect,strong reception which repels death. In another words, I think this horary suggests he will defeat cancer! Moon, co-significator of the grandfather, is in the house of his joy(the 3rd) and this should give him additional stamina and strength in his battle against the disease.

So you may tell your friend his grandfather isn't going to die and I wish him a quick recovery

Actually i am not sure should take 4th for grandfather or need to turn chart, so i will take your advise above on this.

I rather use Saturn as the ruler of the 7th for the grandfather.
There is a pretty ugly contact between saturn and mercury, but mercury will turn direct before perfection!
So, as Goca, for other reasons of course, I believe gradfather will escape by a hair.

I don't know what house are really grandparents. My three grandparents (parents of my father and father of my mother have lived and died in USA). They have left my father as a 4-years old boy by his aunt and went away.
In my case could be Uranus in 9th house. I have Sun in 7th and it has nothing to do with my grandparents.
