With the Jupiter-Saturn biquintile (just mentioned in the earthquake thread) in mind perhaps Jupiter did his part in balancing the Saturn side of the spell.

It has been milder here, too, although we have been warned that colder weather may set back in again next week.

Yesterday at 6pm it was raining, but later that night snow again which was flushed away again by rains this morning. However the venom of the cold seems to have disappeared.

What do you think of the longduring Mars-Saturn sextile coming in February March Andrew? I think of extremes around the date of Mars moving direct (the 10th) but I don't know what kind of extreme. March has a sting in its tail they say but I don't think a cold and snowy one this year. A few days before the 10th Venus will be trine with Mars on the 7th and opposite Saturn the 9th. I think of a warm front (warmer than usual) followed by heavy rainfall. (Maybe a bit lessened after the Sun-Moon_mercury conjunction of the 15th.)
