Should I sell the house and move or stay put?

The querent is in the process of separating from her husband and wants to know the best course of action for her. Should she sell their house and move?

10th. March 2010, 8:37pm GMT, Bromsgrove, UK. Regiomontanus, 17 degrees Libra rising.

The querent is represented by Venus and the Moon, both in detriment and Venus under the sunbeams. Venus is also accidentally debilitated being in the sixth house. She is also separating from opposition to a Rx Saturn in the twelfth house, although this is the house of Saturn's Joy and Saturn is in exaltation. The ascendant is also afflicted by the anitscion of a combust Jupiter. All these factors would seem to suggest this is not a good place for her to stay.

The move is represented by Lord 7, Mars. Mars is in second station, peregrine, but accidentally dignified being in the tenth house. As Mars has just moved into Leo and is about to turn direct, its strength will begin to pick up and will become even stronger than the afflicted Venus in Aries.

Overall the indications suggest that the querent would be better off selling the house and moving.

Hi Yuzuru,

The querent definitely doesn't want to get back together with her husband. She finds the situation at home with her husband unbearable and is eager to be separated from him as soon as possible.

Hi all,

Here's my take on the chart. The querant is Venus (Lord 1); the property is Saturn (Lord 4). The first question is should she sell the property? Moving away is a completely separate thing and since if she sells the house, she would HAVE to move, it's just her decision as to moving AWAY or not.

So, to deal with the first part of the question,

the PRICE of the property is the Moon (lord 10). The 10th house also relates to property of the spouse (4th from the 7th).

The partner is Mars, Lord 7.

There's plenty of stuff going on in this chart. Should she sell the property? I think the question is more likely CAN she sell the property? Mars, ruler of the 7th, her husband, is located in the 10th house and is stationary at 0 Leo. He ain't goin' nowhere. There is an applying opposition between the Moon (the property) and Mars (him). There is no reception between Mars and Venus, except Venus receives Mars by face only. Opposition aspects bring arguments and disagreements. There is also a separating trine between Venus (her) and Mars (him) indicating there was once love but not now.

The querant (Venus) has a separating opposition to the property (Saturn). I think there will be disagreement between the parties regarding the price of the property and that the wife will have to buy out her share of the property because the husband does not want to sell for some reason. The property is highly prized (Saturn in its Joy in the 12th and in exaltation and interestingly, receives Mars by detriment) and in Venus' rulership.

Sun in the 5th tells another sub-plot story and is in mutual reception with Venus and holds Mars by term and face. Wonder if a third party is involved somehow?

It is interesting that the Moon, which represents the price of the property is posited in the 4th house but is in her detriment. The price of property, of course, is totally up to the market and for me, reflects perfectly the changing nature of the Moon. So, although the property is highly prized (exalted Saturn) the price wanted won't be achieved because one of the parties will prevent the sale, not because of market forces. The Moon receives Mars by exaltation but is ruled by Saturn. So, it is the husband who will determine the sale or price, I think. Interesting chart. Please advise the outcome, when known.

Those are my thoughts. Thanks for the opportunity.
