Best Horary Astrology Course? 1 by matrixdutch Hey all, I was wondering if someone could suggest a course on Horary astrology that has a high accuracy rate. I've been looking into the following: John Frawley Lee Lehman Chris Warnock If there are any others, I'd like to hear of those as well, and if anyone could share their thoughts and opinions, it would be greatly appreciated. 2 by epurdue Well as far as "accuracy rates" are concerned, all three are fine. I don't know about Frawley, but I know Lehman and Warnock require a successful prediction before you can pass the course. I am taking Chris Warnock's course, and I like it. It's not easy! Quote Mon Mar 15, 2010 12:19 am
3 by Olivia I've heard good things about Chris Warnock's course from several people, too. At the moment, I can't recommend Lee's courses - it isn't that she's not good, but she has so much going on right now that she simply doesn't have the time to teach or to return homework in a timely manner. It pains me to say it, but sadly, it's been going on for a while now. I have no problem whatsoever recommending her book on horary - it's possibly the best modern text I've read on the subject. John Frawley I have problems with because his course is too pricey for most of us mere mortals, but even if that isn't a problem, he does strange things with reception, exaltation, and the considerations before judgement that really aren't part of the tradition, and don't hold up well in real-world experience. Our own Deb Houlding teaches a horary course, too, and I expect that one is also outstanding given her other work. Quote Mon Mar 15, 2010 12:28 am

9 by cosmicdolphin Hey Chrissie Frawley uses reception backwards Let's say, you have Saturn in Virgo and Merc *somewhere else*. Lilly says that Merc is interested in Saturn. Frawley says that it is the Saturn that is interested in Mercury. It is like if you are to ask yourself about another person Lilly's way "where does this person fit in my life?" not Frawley's "where do i put this person in my life?" 10 by Gsoler There is a huge different in the amount they charge, so they are not comparable. Chris Warnock's is an introductory course. However, I prefer not to get into John Frawley any further as there have been numerous discussions on his astrological idiosyncracies over the years here. Go with Deb! I studied with Deb on an intensive 4 day residential a few years ago and it was fantastic. But then I happen to think Deb if one of the best (and underestimated) astrologers on the planet today. I concur with Tara she is great teacher. More than that she doesn't just teach you horary. She gives you a grounding in traditional astrology generally. Its a kind of deconditioning process if you have studied modern astrology beforehand. One thing I really admire about Deb's teaching is that she relates all her ideas directly back to specific traditional sources. If you have the kind of inquisitive mind that likes to know the where and why of traditional teachings Deb is the perfect teacher.
