The 8th has significations for issues related to death, the 8th was stimulated by primary direcions; an issue concerning death attracted the countries attention.

Death is secondary, it's an outcome of the primary issue here: a terrorist attack. And if there is such an attack there usually are deaths. I seriously doubt whether Russians, or others, are wringing their hands and brooding over death, but they may be wringing their hands and brooding over undetected attackers and unseen enemies in an uncertain world. Once again, it's not a matter of death so much as one of being attacked by others (Of course, that takes us into the 7th, 6th and 12th house issue of open and hidden enemies.) If Moscow had a major earthquake would a master astrologer care all that much whether the 8th house was showing death? He or she would probably take more interest in looking for signs of mass destruction to the city, death being understood as a certain result. If a plane crashed in Moscow and 200 people died, should we expect to find primary directions involving the 8th house of a national chart? All jet crashes should therefore be shown by the 8th house because they involve 'mass death'? Makes no sense to me. Yes, I can see cases where it may be appropriate to look for 8th house death significations. However, in this case the issue is one of terrorist attacks in Russia, not one of mass death in Russia.

The point is I am the moderator here. If this had been an isolated post I might have let it pass. However, there have been quite a few posts by you lately that have given concern. The issue is not the astrological content of your ideas but how you are putting them across. I doubt you are aware how this is sometimes coming across to other members here. I strongly believe it is possible to find a middle course where a person's ideas are challenged or criticised without making them feel personally demeaned or disrespected. I am happy to discuss this further by PM.

I am an experienced astrologer and I had a hard time making heads or tails of what was listed. Why should I have to use my time to go through and check his math (so to speak). When people are reading these things it is fair that the writer take the time to tell us his interpretation and significations, especially when non-classical planets are mixed up in the soup. I'm not saying his chart is wrong, I'm asking things get explained.

I would agree that it would be most helpful if Isaac would expand his posts in future into a modicum of delineation rather than just raw data. This has been an issue on both the natal and mundane forum in the past. However, your point about non-classical planets is completely irrelevant here. This is not the traditional part of the forum. Lots of people working with primary directions such as Rumen Kolev use the outer planets.

Anyway, I appreciate you and other members going over the chart. Its good to see some thoughtful discussion of the primaries in the 1917 chart.

Steven, in my original post I did not reference the outers, only original planets; I'm aware the outers are neither classical nor traditional and did not mean to imply otherwise. I found Isaac's list of hits to be descriptive for the event even if one ignored the outers so I was surprised by your comments, hence my post. I am beginning to wish I had never made it; Dr Farr has removed his posts and now you are threatening to disappear. I certainly did not mean to derail the thread

I have just belatedly inserted the event chart for the Moscow Metro bombing.
Its interesting that the MC/IC axis is close to the Polish Aries Ingress chart with signs reversed! Both charts seem to be sensitive to the last Lunar eclipse in December 2009 which was at 10'15 Cancer.
