If the Liberal Democrats do want to consider both options they have perhaps made a tactical mistake in not opening parallel negotiations with both parties earlier. .. Someone expressed it with these words this morning, "Currently they are talking with Con and listen to the Lab" and I think it's a very accurate and responsable as well as wise approach. Parallel negotiations would really mimic "horse trading" in my view so I think they are doing the right thing, so far. I must admit though that although I am a non UK citizen I do favour the LibDems, but also that even if I don't find GB likable in any way, I think he have had to take a lot of sh*t that he doesn't deserve. He's the brain behind the bailout of the banks sure and hence responsable for a large part of the deficit, but maybe UK citizens also should ask themself who things would have been if not? If the talks don't crash as the Moon touches the Satun/Uranus/Neptune this night, a deal of some kind is very likely I think. /Joakim Living on Earth may be expensive, but it includes a free trip around the sun every year. http://www.astrocalc.com Quote Sun May 09, 2010 10:05 am

Interesting that today Paddy Ashdown a former leader of the Liberal Democrats has stated Gordon Brown is not noted for possessing the personal qualities to allow him to run such a 'collegiate style of government'. I did come out for a Liberal Democrat-Labour coalition based on my delineation of the Aries Ingress chart. However, the unfolding politics doesn't seem to be going that way. Gordon Brown is beginning to look the political equivalent of dead man walking..... Well I wouldn't write off a Lib/Lab coalition just yet and once again I like to bring forward the way Neptune influence things right now. Expect a lot of acctivity is going on in the unseen and really one doesn't need to have that much of brain to realize that a Lib/Con deal can come to a complete disaster for the former. Clegg (and other involved Libs) is certainly aware of this, and so is Cameron and the Con's. Not that it's my personal judgment of Cameron to be one, but maybe the party pressure in the end would put him in to that position, playing it all home as a real "Con Man". Things "appear" to be good and amicable right now between them, but what else would you expect them to say? These boys and girls knows the public is watching them and that they will be judged, sooner or later. I wouldn't be surpriced at all if things suddenly changes lets say around 21:10 BST tonight, not at all. Yes I know, it's just the Moon... but infact it often operates as the trigger of the bigger patter. 123 by JoakimS Looking at transits from planets to the Conservative Party's chart I don't get the feeling it's painting a picture of them coming to power. Transits from Pluto: None Neptune: Cnj Jupiter Uranus: None Saturn: None Jupiter: Trine Mc & Saturn, Sextile Moon Mars: Square Pluto Venus: None Mercury: None Sun: Opposition Sun Moon has today joined Jupiter in trining their Saturn/Mc which of course support the good atmoshere but I fear it wont last for long or as a voter said on tv "I didn't vote LibDeb because of what they have in common with Conservative but because of makes them differ". Well Clegg has to be a really really good salesman to sell such a deal but I doubt if even that helps. Some how I can't shake off that though of the "imposible" scenario that at the end of the day, Clegg will find himself with the keys to no 10, merely (or probably) because no one else can take them even if they want to. Funny, it makes me think of "King Arthur and the Sword in the Stone", really. /Joakim Living on Earth may be expensive, but it includes a free trip around the sun every year. http://www.astrocalc.com Quote Sun May 09, 2010 11:56 am

Thats strange. You have previously predicted a Conservative minority (or majority) government before polling day here. Although I remain unclear what astrological technique you utilised to make that prediction. I am clear that based on my interpretation of the Ingress chart I predicted a Liberal Democrat -Labour coalition before polling day. If that doesn't happen (and it looks increasingly unlikely) I confess I simply got it wrong. In which case I will need to review my approach to Ingress charts in future. Your prediction was a conservative minority (or majority) government before polling day. Are you now having doubts? As this thread reaches a conclusion I intend to sum up which members successfully predicted the final outcome. However, with respect you seem to be trying to have your cake and eat it. Thats strange. You have previously predicted a conservative minority government here. Well what I said in my first post in this thread was: I ask because if the former is true, my first feeling is that it will be a Tory minority gov, and a new election within some time which will make Clegg PM, probably in coalition with a weakened Labour. This is more a (Neptunian) feeling so far then a right down astro analysis. Somewhere I also told, not sure if it was in this thread, that I been away from practical astrology for some time so probably is a bit rusty and that I don't fancy "pridiction" that much, meaning in the sense of "fortune telling", but I certainly do enjoy discussing possibilites. Your prediction was a conservative minority government before polling day. Are you now having doubts? Agree that I maybe have been a bit "wordy" and speculative at times, simply got excited I quess, but you are right as such, I should stick more to the astrology which als is what I have tried lately I like to say though to my "defence" that I am not that familiar with how UK elections work, even if I know more know then before, and maybe more was "talking" about the election results (early stage) in terms of vote percentage and seats. Do I have doubts now about a Con minority gov? Yes sure, as things have evolved and as time has allowed me to look more astrologically at it. Well I certainly don't seek any pride in having right about any prediction and it totally missed my radar that it was some kind of competition I have been following the events, looking at charts and been seeking to exchange ideas, and to learn. I don't belive in predictive astrology in the sense that the chart decides what the outcome will be, but that all depends on how the power of free will is executed by the person or the persons involved. I do belive though it set sort of a framework for what is possible, or even likely, or not. Sorry if I took too much active part in this discussion but I simply enoyed it but I guess I will be more restrictive in the future. No, no hard feelings, I know I maybe have been coming on a bit too much, especially as I just came here a few days ago, it's such confusing and shocking days these, but I am ok, hope UK will be the same. /Joakim Living on Earth may be expensive, but it includes a free trip around the sun every year. http://www.astrocalc.com Quote Sun May 09, 2010 1:52 pm

I do belive though it set sort of a framework for what is possible, or even likely, or not. I can see we were coming at things quite differently on astrological prediction. Fair enough. As you are new to the forum you might find the following thread useful which I opened up as the new moderator at the end of March. It gives you the context of why many members here are frustrated with mundane astrology that avoids prediction: http://skyscript.co.uk/forums/viewtopic.php?t=5243 Well I certainly don't seek any pride in having right about any prediction and it totally missed my radar that it was some kind of competition Not a competition based on ego I hope. However, I guess I am hopelessly lost there with Natal Neptune on my Ascendant, Uranus on Mc and Moon on Ic - it's all clear to me but not so easy always to explain in an understandble way to others, especially in a foreign language you are not so good at (well I am very comfortable with english, but my grammar, and sometimes spelling, is horrible ). Never mind, your point have come across and yes I admit I maybe should have taken more time to "read and study" the forums before making so many statements but this thread just fired up all my horses! 128 by Mark Hi Joakims, I just read your post now and will read the rest when I have a bit more time, but I think I understand the "problem" and I certainly don't want to distort the order here by turning things up side down. I need to make clear I was only setting out my own position. There is no party line here you have to adopt. Not least as free will vs determinism is an issue that has divided the greatest minds in history! Its obviously a very complex issue that needs a lot of time and deep reflection. I was only seeking to explain that I personally took the view that astrological prediction was possible in mundane astrology. Although to date my efforts dont look that impressive. Anyway, I see the Liberal Democrat-Conservative party discussions have broken up around 5.30pm today without any clarification yet where they are going. They are meeting again tomorrow. Meanwhile Nick Clegg has had a face to face meeting with Gordon Brown this afternoon. Fascinating this is all going on on the same day as the first emergency meeting since the launch of the Euro of all 27 European finance ministers. Interesting that the word 'stability' seems to be the one of the moment everywhere in the face of the Saturn-Uranus opposition. 129 by handn Interesting that the word 'stability' seems to be the one of the moment everywhere in the face of the Saturn-Uranus opposition. Surely they are joking? They've just spent 2 months saying we all want (and should want) 'change'. Now since the hung parliament result (which they and we knew for at least 2 months was almost certain) they're trying to tell us that what we actually want is 'stability'. I understand Saturn and Uranus are opposite one another but please.... this is just whatever suits the spin doctors' mouths today. When they say 'change' what they mean is 'give us power please'. When they say 'stability' what they mean is 'give us power please'. I think mostly what they are saying to us now is 'keep your noses out now, this has nothing to do with you, the election is over and some of your votes were fiddled while others weren't even allowed to be cast, but we'll decide who gets power now, not you'. In light of all these power games, I think what people want more of is the right kind of instability actually, but we're not getting it yet because we're being told to get out of the discussion. On that, we certainly have lots of stability - nothing has changed. Regards H. Quote Sun May 09, 2010 6:12 pm

132 by amandaW Today, on the 10th of May, Gordon Brown is still Prime Minister. So, was the prediction correct??? It was, but as of 5.20 p.m. BST not any longer! Seriously though. One thing that I did spot in the leaders' charts. Brown's progressed Sun changes sign ( Aries into Taurus) within 4 months. That will be about the right time for his proposed replacement. But Cameron's Sun also progresses into a new sign ( Scorpio into Sag) in about a year. So in some way I think this all still has along way to run. Quote Mon May 10, 2010 4:44 pm
