Does anyone have the Swearing in chart of Julia Gillard- the First female Prime-minister of Australia?

Does not even find mention in Astrodatabank- not even with a DD rating !!
Born 29 September 1961 in Wales.
Sun is in Fall
Venus is in Fall
Jupiter is in Fall
Mars is in Detriment

Transit Jupiter is opposing her natal Sun
She seems to have risen by the dint of perseverance in a Democracy and Labour party- Saturn in Capricorn.

Wonder what the classical authors say of such a rise. May be there is a concept of cancellation of debility or Does the ptolemaic Exaltation change if you move to Southern Hemisphere

I don't know the time, sorry. Saturn in rulership close to Jupiter could show a position of responsibility and dignity if Saturn rules or is placed in her midheaven. But without a time we don't know what accidental strength her significators have, and it is hard to understand a chart without knowledge of the angles.

Finey uses Jupiter and Saturn on MC and that could well be the case but possibly in the relocated MC. Gillard's parents migrated to Australia in the 60s under the 10 pound scheme.There is a 10 hour difference in time zone so IC/MC could well exchange spots in relocated chart.

Interestingly, Aries ingress for Canberra,did not show such a blood bath or atleast I did not see it.10th lord Mars had a mutual recpetion in sign with 7th lord.
Leo is in the 7th and opposed by Exalted retrograde Saturn.I saw that as strife for Tony Abbott and he did get into some .May be saturn showed why Rudd government got into a lot of strife from Mining industry and Israel. Rudd lost the support of Jewish Lobby in Australia potentially weakening his fund-raising capabilities.His patch up attempts did not impress.

With 1.00PM time - Ascendant via combusta but near Spica but MC conj South node.
The later the actual signing the better for her as it is winter and Libra is in a haste to cross the horizon.

A mixed bag.She will have a short term as PM anyway but would need to carry her party to Victory.We really need to get birth data.

As far as I know she is the first Welsh-born Prime Minister of Australia.

She's definitely not the first UK-born Prime Minister of Australia though, nor is she the first with Welsh background.

Just listened to Julia Gillard's press Conference. This has to be one of the most Saturnian speeches I have ever heard! I counted her using the words 'hard work' 5 times and work 4 times. Makes me think she might be Capricorn rising.

Then again it could be Virgo rising. That would really emphasize her occidental Mercury in Scorpio in a night chart.

Of course as Deb states without the confirmed time its all wild speculation.

Yuzuru quite rightly complains about all knowing astrologers doing restrospective mundane analysis.

Still, .....Saturn Rx was in an applying opposition from the 8th house
(death, decay, loss and the fear and anxiety attached to these.) to the Sun as you pointed out. Saturn is the domicile ruler of the 1st house and in ingress charts that represents the people (along with the Moon). The Sun is the natural significator of the ruler so that does reflect the growing unpopularity of Kevin Rudd.

I have a close relative who works in Australian mining I get the feeling from him that the mining industry successfully whipped up a lot of this opposition by pouring in enormous sums of money to oppose Rudd's policy in the media. The mining lobby ( representing International companies such as Rio Tinto) is very powerful in Australia. Astrologically, Saturn fits perfectly as a symbol for the mining industry being associated with deep, dark places underground.

I hadn't heard about Rudd's problems on Israel. However, Saturn is is traditionally the natural significator of Judaism. Of course we also now see that Saturn representing Rudd's hidden enemies in his party ( 12th house). I dont know if I would have picked that up beforehand or not.

The MC ruler (Mars) is in the 6th house. The House Lord is the Moon. The Moon sits near the 4th house cusp. Traditionally, the 4th house represents the governments opponents. This seems a graphic representation of popular discontent with Rudd's leadership. The Moon is very strong in an angular house. Its also on the fixed star Algol associated literally 'losing ones' head.

The issue of the 4th house representing opposition to the government really works in my opinion. For example, take a look at the Aries Ingress Ingress chart for Thailand:
Looking at the angles of the Australian ingress chart I see the malefic fixed star Unukalhai in the constellation of the serpent on the chart MC (22'43 Scorpio on my software) . According to Ptolemy it is of the nature of Saturn and Mars. In the Neck of the Serpent (Serpens), Unukalhai shows its properties as a Martian force combined with Saturn and is often really dangerous and destructive.

So overall I think one could have certainly predicted real public opposition to Rudd and his position being extremely weak.
