The parliamentary opposition and the general political discontent/hysteria was discernable(Moon conj Algol and Neptune conj Asc,square MC).This porbably could also be the cause of the blame to the Israel factor- a good story for newspapers spoiled by facts

I thought the intra-party challengers would be 12th from the 10th(Ramsey's book) but Venus is in detriment and lord of both 9th and 4th but in a sign ruler by Mars - the 10th lord.So they should have been held in check by the Prime-Minister.

Rudd's own horoscope would be important as well.

Agree with yuzuru's sage advice but more nativities than nations have been harmed by retrospective judging of horoscopes .

Personally, I think the signification of Saturn as Lord 12 is clear enough in the radical chart without needing to turn it. The ingress chart gives the broad strokes but not always such specific details. With a fixed sign rising this chart is valid for a whole year. So it has signification not just for the Rudd government also for the government of Julia Gillard too. Still, It might be worth checking the Libra ingress too as this precedes the election. Certainly, the solar eclipse chart for July 11th will be worth a look although its not strictly visible in Australia.

I agree there were certain things one might have anticipated that aren't there. However, thats why I like ingress charts over national charts. You have no get outs like rectification , or alternative charts to make the astrology fit our preconceptions of what 'should' be there. We have no alternative but making the symbolism work with the chart the cosmos has given us.

Ps Note Fortuna in the 11th (Ruler's allies) or 12th by whole sign disposited by Saturn (Lord 12 =hidden enemies) opposing the Sun as natural significator of ruler. Fortuna is square the Sun. Fortuna is conjunct Pluto=power struggles.

Its certainly an exciting moment for Australian politics. Actually there have been quite a few new female leaders elected this year.

There are currently 17 World leaders who are Women. Less than 10% of all states but still an historic high. Something that will become increasingly common I think. Especially, once the USA finally accepts a woman can be President.

I cant really comment on asteroids much as I dont work with them myself. The last time I ventured a comment I ended causing a bit offense by stating 'Is Juno the asteroid with the Palm Tree glyph'.

I noted the Aries Ingress Moon on the I/C conj the Malefic Fixed Star Algol at 26 Taurus. This should be a good Moon but Algol will surely apply her energies to the 'people' especially women?
