157 by Ficina Hi Aglaya and belated welcome to the Sports forum I am aware that there are certain rules here and that, at least technically, the placement of a ruler above the horizon brings some extra points I'm not sure about 'rules' and, to be honest, until I started using my 'Nobody gets the Asc' method I never took into consideration whether a significator was above or below the horizon. However, I have been using this as a stand-alone factor in my analyses of all these WC games and, simple though it is, it has worked more often than not. but, this still is an event chart and the fact that the ruler of the ascendant placed inside the 8th brings misfortune is a generally applicable rule (I may be wrong). Well, in my view there's no right or wrong. It just depends whether you choose to use houses or not in your analysis. Over the past few months (or possibly longer), I've ditched them completely! I am very keen on keeping things simple but that's my own personal view obviously what if the Dutch team decides to play in their away kit? It is the final, everything is possible. Both teams have got enough time to wash and dry both kits! On a couple of occasions during this WC we've seen teams turn up in unexpected kits - very irritating! But since Holland are listed first, I would expect them to wear their home kit. FIFA will decide! Quote Fri Jul 09, 2010 10:23 pm

I am really intrigued how you do this. How do you assign planets to countries? Is it purely the colour method? I must say as an experiment charts without houses sounds quite liberating. Looking at your previous post I had thought you were still using houses: I see the Sun signifying Holland both as L7 (underdog) and colourwise (orange). The Moon signifies the favourite, Spain, and it eclipses the Sun. This would indicate a win for Spain. Finally, Saturn (dark blue = Spain) above horizon; Sun (orange = Holland) below. I'm sticking with Spain From this I am getting you considering a combo of favourites, colour method and highest elevated planet between ASC/DESC rulers. Why exactly do you assign the Moon to the favorites=Spain though? Is it because it is so strong by essential dignity as the chart Almuten? Or is it simply because it conjuncts the Sun (Lord 7) and the Dutch colours which as orange are of the Sun? 159 by Rohan I agree with Janis that Conjunction, trine and sextile between luminaries is a strong advantage for the favourite. So I think Spain has advantage. But its a eclipse day. So I am confused. Warm Regards, Rohaan Joshii Quote Sat Jul 10, 2010 5:43 am
160 by Goca Regarding colors of sport kit here are my thought about that: If Holland wear orange/black sport kit and Spain wear all white kit then Spain wins. If Holland wear all orange kit and Spain darkblue kit then Holland wins. If someone get to know what color kit they will wear please post. 161 by Ficina Mark wrote:How do you assign planets to countries? Is it purely the colour method? Yes, because that was the way I was doing it with Premiership games last season. Again it's down to personal choice, whichever kind of symbolism you prefer to use for assigning significators to a domestic team or a national team. I must say as an experiment charts without houses sounds quite liberating. Looking at your previous post I had thought you were still using houses Angles, yes. Houses, no. As I've often said, everything is worth experimenting with. It's always fun to try something different Why exactly do you assign the Moon to the favorites=Spain though? It's a kind of carry-over from horseracing where the Moon signifies the favourite as the public's choice. It's also used in other football chart testimonies, e.g. Moon trine POF favours the favourite; Moon opposite POF favours the underdog. Re radicality: I would appreciate it if you can indicate any older threads where this kind of issue came up. Difficult to pinpoint because we've been using this technique for over two years now. You'll find it mentioned in any of the monthly football prediction threads and I also used it quite recently in the Holland/Uruguay game (a few pages back). Quote Sat Jul 10, 2010 9:10 am

Using the same kind of logic I would have thought a combust Moon is not a good indicator for the favourite. Although here we have a cazimi Moon for much of the match too. I will rummage around a bit and see what I can come up with. Sorry for sidetracking the thread a bit with all these questions. 163 by Andrew Bevan I haven't been receiving topic notifications but it is Summer time and I am all over and about so I am not quite sure where we are in the discussion. Glad to see that questions regarding radicality have been asked and answered. Thanks to Ficina! The Octopus Paul is certainly showing some muscle, isn't he? Sunday's game is between the Moon, ruler of Cancer, and Jupiter, exalted in Cancer? Ficina was right in the finalists coming from the same continent. Maybe we should ask regarding her diet? Do you have a particular liking for sea-food? http://www.astronor.com Quote Sat Jul 10, 2010 8:53 pm
164 by Gunhilde The only thing that occurred to me, with Neptune smack on the ASC during the Spain-Holland game, was that during the Germany-Uruguay game (where Neptune was also on the ASC), it absolutely heaved rain...although it didn't rain during the Spain-Germany game so there goes my theory... I think the Spain-Holland game will be a difficult one; Spain is brilliant technically but has trouble getting through a solid defence (as was displayed during their game with Germany). The Holland team is, frankly, rather boring, but very solid; however they might lack the flair to get it past Spain's defence, which has been watertight most of the time, certainly against Germany. I'm rooting for Spain, but it wouldn't surprise me if it goes into extra time and/or penalties. POF sits right on the ASC (well, it IS a New Moon, after all ), but it's in awfully late degrees, as is Saturn. It may be a 'last minute win', perhaps? Next World Cup I'm getting my charts in order, well in advance! GH Quote Sat Jul 10, 2010 9:44 pm

I am frustrated my horary didn't show the simple path, but next time I will insist that the chart is both radical and Mercury direct (at least something made sense). Something we could do is track the matches of the winner and examine whether the path to victory adds up astrologically? Does the first match tell the story? http://www.astronor.com Quote Sun Jul 11, 2010 9:57 am

Yes, I do actually Goca wrote:Uruguay vs Germany 10 July 2010 20:30 Port Elizabeth ASC=27Aq56 As "home" team Uruguay will wear blue/black sport kit so they are represent with ASC and ruler Sa. Sa is on last degree, sign of misfortune for Uruguay. Again we do not have much difference regarding accidental or essential dignities. There are no Moon's aspect within 5 degrees, so "nothing" happen in this chart except that ruler on last degree. As Germany is favorite that usually means what is expected will happen, i.e Germany will win. Uruguay 2 - 3 Germany Congrats, Goca! Quote Sun Jul 11, 2010 12:05 pm
168 by Goca Thanks, but I think you deserve congratulations much more then me because you post at the end of May forecast that now is true! "Posted: Sun May 30, 2010 11:04 pm The Moon/Sun conjunction (which perfects during the game) is in Cancer and with Neptune sitting on the Ascendant, might suggest a watery country like Holland for example. Posted: Mon May 31, 2010 11:09 am Post subject: Some further thoughts on Moon/Sun conjunction in Cancer: the finalists might be from the same 'family' or 'clan'. This could translate to countries from the same continent" Excellent, really!!! Congratulations!!
