by Andrew Bevan Copenhagen - Bate Borisov 3-2 You were right, Janis, Copenhagen got it. But I notice that is the 2nd match running where I've eyed the underdogs (Rosenborg-Haugesund 4-3) and where the underdogs in fact delivered an impressive fight. My other games today paid off dividends: Basel ? Debrecen 3-1 Gent ? Dynamo Kiev 1-3 Dinamo Zagreb - FC Sheriff 1-1 Celtic - Braga 2-1 Scoreline and I played Rosenborg - AIK 3-0 http://www.astronor.com Quote Wed Aug 04, 2010 8:30 pm
by Janis Valkovskis My congratulations, Andrew! Well predicted I went for a combination of 10 games, and all were right, except PAOK - AJAX (as always a fly in the ointment). Notwithstading that my winnings slipped out of my hands in the last minute , I am satisfied with the result. Quote Thu Aug 05, 2010 7:37 am
by Andrew Bevan One of the most interesting games in this evenings UEFA cup will in my opinion be between Hajduk Split and Dinamo Bucuresti. At least it is an open match that offers an attractive price; Hajduk Split - Dinamo Bucuresti, 20.30 CEST Odds: 2,10 3,25 3,20 Asc 21AQ49 MC 9SG47 Moon 14GE40 POF 22SG49 Day Jupiter, Hour Moon - Moon & Saturn in same triplicity The Moon, LHr, is in the 4th house. Mercury, L4, is square the MC. Everthing looks like a draw. Dinamo Bucuresti won the first round 3-1. The X,2 is priced at 1,62:1 which is far better odds than many other of this evenings matches are offering. http://www.astronor.com Quote Thu Aug 05, 2010 7:55 am
by Janis Valkovskis May be you are right, Andrew. Draw is a very likely outcome here. However, considering that Saturn, L1, is better dignified than the Sun and is above the horizon, which I notice usually is an advantage for the bookies fave, I think that the fave should get it. Besides, Moon has seperated from both Sun (sextile), L7, and Mercury (square), L7 and now is VOC. Next what we have is Venus, L5, ingression in Libra, in her house which I consider as a good sign for the fave. May be 3:1 and overtime??? Quote Thu Aug 05, 2010 9:45 am
by Andrew Bevan FC Zestafoni - Karpaty Lviv, 18.00 CEST Odds: 3,35 3,15 2,10 Asc 7AQ09 MC 29SC20 Moon 12GE48 POF 6SG50 Day Jupiter, Hour Mercury - radical by triplicity The chart is radical and the Moon translates from Mercury, LHr, to the sextile of the Sun, L7. I think the favorite should win away. http://www.astronor.com Quote Thu Aug 05, 2010 10:07 am
by Andrew Bevan Karpaty Lviv win 0-1 with a goal in the 90th minute! I am very pleased with that one. I hope Dinamo Bucuresti do some magic or preferably get the draw later this evening! http://www.astronor.com Quote Thu Aug 05, 2010 6:28 pm
by Janis Valkovskis Kudos to you, Andrew, for Karpaty Lviv Dinamo Bucuresti is down 3:0 after FH. Sorry for that, only a miracle can save it. Quote Thu Aug 05, 2010 7:20 pm

by GB There is an interesting situation in Saturday's UK Championship. There are nine matches all with the same kick-off time of 1500 BST. In all cases the Lord of the Day is Saturn and the Lord of the Hour is Saturn (all the different methods seem to give the same LH). Also, the bookmakers have all the matches with the home team as favourite with one exception, Crystal Palace v Leicester where there is no clear favourite (see the odds below). All the matches have Scorpio on the Asc and Virgo on the MC, so L1 Mars, L7 Venus, L10 Mercury, L4 Jupiter in all cases. What drew my attention to these matches were the dignities. Saturn LD+LH in exaltation L1 Mars in detriment L7 Venus in its own sign conjunct Saturn, LD/LH but not partile. L10 Mercury in its own sign L4 Jupiter ruled by L1 The Sun and Moon are also in their own signs . The above makes me think of away/underdog wins. But how do we distinguish the matches? The only difference is the placement of L10, Mercury, which is on the MC, sometimes in H9, sometimes in H10 (although the H9 positions are so close to the angle some may want to consider them in H10). I list below the house of Mercury and its distance (degrees:minutes) from the MC for each match, along with the odds. H10 0:17 Bristol City v Millwall 1.90 3.40 4.00 H9 0:06 Burnley v Nottm Forest 2.25 3.25 3.20 H9 0:53 Coventry v Portsmouth 2.25 3.20 3.25 H9 2:25 Crystal Palace v Leicester 2.62 3.25 2.62 (No fav) H9 2:09 Hull v Swansea 2.25 3.20 3.25 H9 1:10 Middlesbrough v Ipswich 1.83 3.40 4.50 H10 0:23 Preston v Doncaster 2.25 3.25 3.20 H9 2:15 QPR v Barnsley 1.66 3.60 5.25 H9 1:27 Reading v Scunthorpe 1.50 4.00 7.00 In my experience, L10 in H9 tends to favour the away/underdogs and L10 in H10 favours the home/favourites. Given that Bristol and Preston are fav by odds I would expect them to win, the others I would look to be draws or away wins, depending on the odds. It will be interesting to see if the Mercury house, and distance from the MC gives any clear pattern. Quote Fri Aug 06, 2010 1:48 pm
by Janis Valkovskis German Supercup Bayern Munich - Schalke 04 17 45 CEST Impuls Arena, Augsburg 48 19 21 N 10 52 56 E ASC 24SA41 MC 25LI02 Moon 10CA39 POF 20SC18 R Jupiter, L1, 3AR02 Mercury,L7, 12VI21, Mars, L of hour, L4 and dispositor of POF, 5LI19 Venus, L10 and L5, 0LI31 First that strikes the eyes is the Moon's partile conjunction with South Node in VII, which I believe is an unhappy business for DSC team (Schalke 04 probably playing in white). Moon's, L of intercepted Cancer in VIII, first and the only aspect within the orb of 5 degrees is a sextile through signs of long ascension to Mercury, L7. This may give some chance to Schalke, but I doubt if it is the case. It may also import that the Moon translates destruction from South Node to Mercury, L7, placed in 8th. Mars, L of hour, dispositor of POF and significator of Bayern (playing in red), has been seperating from opposition with R Jupiter, L1, but is still within the orb. Venus, L10, is in the same sign as Mars, which I consider as a strong token for the fave. Some confusion may create the double role of Mars, he is also L4. Partile conjuction with South Node usually means draw, but we need a winner here. Let's see whether overtime or penalties. We see that significators are in cardinal signs, except Mercury in Virgo, but in cadent houses. Moon is cardinal and angular. Looks like overtime. My prediction is Bayern in overtime. PS GB, your idea is good. You may be right considering that, apart from other indications you pointed out, the Moon is applying to conjuction with South Node. Good luck Quote Sat Aug 07, 2010 8:57 am
by Janis Valkovskis Sorry, the odds Bayern - Schalke 04 2.40 3.35 2.90 Quote Sat Aug 07, 2010 8:58 am
by Janis Valkovskis Pretty odd, but your method, GB, seems to be working the exact opposite after FH. Both Bristol and Prestone are down after FH. All others play as bookies foresee, except Reading v Scunthorpe where is draw 1:1. Let's see how the things go on in 2nd. My guess why your method does not work is the position of luminaries, both in their own sign. Mercury, L1, is also in its own sign. L of hour and day Saturn is exalted, Venus L 7, in her own sign but heading towards Saturn, the greatest malefic. If majority of planets are in their own sign or exaltation, or the final dispositors of planets are in their house or exaltation, I think it is good for the faves. Of course there might be exceptions that prove the rule, but it does not change the tendency. Second, the charts are radical by Saturn, L of hour and day, in the same sign as Mars, L 1. Radicality, especially if L of ASC and L of hour is in the same sign, usually means advantage for the faves. Obviously, the position of Mercury, L10, whether in 9H or in 10H plays no role.
