Thanks for those start times Amelia. I emailed Aintree today with a list of interesting years.. do you know the actual day as well? It seems to change due to Easter and doesn't seem to be important to anyone else after the event!

I'm going over your reasoning again... did you check State of Play? Came 3rd.. some symbolism in the chart maybe from saturn opposite uranus?
And Black Apalachi, 2nd.. worked with campanus 5th to Pluto in Cap (black!) Alpalachi.. either Appalachian Mountains, very capricorn, or the Apalachee, an extinct tribe of N American Indians. Extinction seems very pluto to me.

Would it be useful if the symbolism crew gave you pointers to narrow down the charts you have to look at? But you may prefer to just get on with it yourself in case we send you down the wrong path : )? And I guess, always worth looking at the favourite.

Well done anyway!

Hi I have been selecting individual races, rather than trying to bet on a 5 or 6 aspects, as I find this is a more concentrated effort, tring to find a race with a decent aspect, rather than betting on 6 races with no decent aspects, its takes longer to select, but is more productive

Salisbury 6.30pm 51.05N, 1.48W
Campanus system 5th house 2.35Gem first aspect Satrun 2.51 Lib and then Pluto 2.56 Cap

I think Pluto will reign with only 6 horses

Royal Exhchange (Pluto) fits with name and colour as the winner
2 Sonoran Sands the saturn horse for a nice forecast

Hi VestaDS
Thanks for resurrecting this thread.
I use Janus and the racecourse coordinates from Wikipedia which give campanus 5th at 2:27 gemini.
Either way the antiscia of neptune is also involved at 2:42 scorpio. So I don't think this such an easy race to call.

Moon is angular applying to AC which implies a win for the favourite.
I have been trying to incorporate Bonnatti as well...lord of hour saturn is not in 1st, 10th or 11th.. but jupiter is in 1st, in his terms whic says not a fav but a horse with some form.

So will be good to see the outcome!

Check out yesterdays race, Musselborough, 1355. Saturn hour, in 11th with campanus 5th applying to conj his antiscion. All worked perfectly with a win for the 6/4 favourite Crimson Knot (saturn in libra) and Surely this Time 4/1 second.

Hi Pallas
My Forecast paid off, although I only did a 70p RFC, but it paid out ?14.20.

It is worth noting that the race commenced 6 minutes late thansk to the neptune antisoma!, leaving it open for Saturn and Pluto to reign, although I still fancied Sonoran Sands as a choice for Neptune.

Your horse from yesterday (Crimson Knot) is going tomorrow at Chester 15.55pm, but looking at the chart for the race I wouldn't touch it or the race, as it its too mixed up...
5th House 27.16Airies, first aspect Neptune 27.16Aqa with Chiron at 28.30Aqa and the Sun at 28.27 Leo, assuming the race goes off on time, we pass Neptune, for a Sun Chiron finish..

With a field of 6
Fifth Commandment ( Chiron)
Admiral Spirit (Sun /Neptune)
Tipsy Girl (Neptune)
Turn the Tide (Saturn/Neptune)
Crimson Knot (Saturn)
Belle Royale ??

Hi I was going to wait until Monday till Venus and Mars conjunct has passed, but with Mercury just going retrograde i have chosen a Mercurial race..

Market Rasen 5.30pm 0.21W 53.24N
5th House Campanus 18T18
First aspect Mercury 19.02r (8th house)
Hour of Sun

The only horse that sticks out is
Kathindi in mercury colours of Green and yellow (Virgo), can anyone find anything else in this field?

It was 5.20, not 5.30, but it must be just a typo as the analysis is correct.

Joe Rua (black) has won with 8/1.

It's hard to find associations with names like this, or Kathindi. :)

I didnt win !
This race was won by 8th House, Joe Rua and Bateau Bleu. Funnily I googled Bateau and it is a boat like structure, so Sailing was the theme which relates to Scorpio. Joe Rua in black also Scorpio.

Sometimes the house (8th ) wins aat other times it is the planetary colour, just means we can't win every time...

Mercury comes in twos!!

Musselburgh 15.20pm 55.57N, 3.04W
5th House 18.45Airies
1st aspect Mercury 18.55 (9th House)
Bear in mind this is a 1 mile race, so it may pass by Mercury after 6 furlongs. But the Title of the race leads me to believe its mercurial race "The Daily record Handicap"!!

Cat O Nine tails ( Virgo loves domestic pets)
to be placed at least!

Any views? or other ideas

Hi Pallas
I think astrology points us in the right direction, and I do not think I can pick the winner each time, but have great fun trying.
I will try and follow Venus Through Libra until Sept 8th, selecting 1 race a day, that way we can learn what Venus likes and dislikes...
Monday 22 Aug 19.15 Windsor 51.29N 0.38W
5th House 15.51Lib Venus 16.24Lib
Hour of Venus

Their are no Mares in the race.

Sense of Pride is in Venus colours.
Fashion Lady as a long shot 20-1 for a place. Venus loves fashion and beauty
And I'm toying with Miss Kingswood and going for 3 reverse forecasts with all 3 of the above...!
50P RFC Sense of Pride/Fashion lady
50p RFC Fashion Lady/ Miss Kingswood
50p RFC Miss Kingswood Sense of Pride
Total bets of ?3.
