I have noticed that transits affect only on the natal theme for some people, for others they work only on their progressed theme and for some others on the converse progressed theme! It depends on the person and its chart each time. For instance my own natal planets never afflicted by transits-neither my progressed ones. But my converse progressed planets are afflicted by transits very often manifesting an event each time.
Also, progressed planets aspecting pr. others show internal, psycological changes.

As far the Quotidian Angles method I've found it on internet arthrography as Kinetic Progressions and think it works! Quotidian (or Kinetic) ASC-DSC work like a spotlight showing the dominant transit that will manifest a certain event. But I don't think that this method must be of primary interest in our work on the transits. More important is to find which theme of the three (as i mentioned above; natal-forward progessed-converse progressed) is afflicted by transits in each case.
