There are so many chapters and aspects to this story, its almost a challange to begin. After being trapped over 600m under the Earth's surface for 69 days - it looks like this story about 33 miners and their fight for survival is coming to a happy end. The first miner to travel the Pheonex and reach the surface was 31 year old Florencio Avalos, who reached ground level at 04.11 GMT this morning 13.Oct 2010. (Corrected to 03.11 GMT, see note.)

The Moon was 29SG57 and Void of Course, the Moon also been Void of Course on all the first Apollo missions. The comparison is compelling, because having sat and watch television as the miners down below got into the Pheonex and traveledl up through the escape shaft, it felt very much like a Moon landing. And NASA were on the spot.

I haven't followed this story in detail, yet now that it is coming to its conclusion one of the things I note is how Saturn has departed from combustion. He is still under the Sun's beams and not yet truely vazarite, ie. 15-30 degrees departed from the Sun, yet in the view of his strength and dignity - it seems apparent that the miners are already in a state of emerging from combustion in victory. They have been imprisoned and trapped in the mine from since its collapse. The Sun is weak in Libra, the sign of its fall, and as the mine caved in and the miners bridge to the open world was broken.

However, the rescue operation appears to have reached a the point of total victory and success - this is a perfect example of how the debility of a planet in its detriment or fall is lifted to a height of acheivemnet when in the same sign as a planet in its exaltation. This is the state that the Hindus call Neecha-Bhanga Raja Yoga 'King-combination'.

It is intriguing that the miners have been trapped in the cave, as if in an egg, for 69 days, which of course shows the sign of Cancer if you tilt the figure 90 degrees.

As the miners are brought to surface its interesting to notice how the Sun is disposed by the detrimented Venus in Scorpio, who also is retrograde - another weakness; yet also she is hosted by Mars in his own sign, and I think that when it is all over it will be compare to a successful millitary operation.

With no other comparison intended, the rescuing of the 33 miners 622meters under the Earth surface reminds me of the September 11. tradegy - yet in this case everything is upside down. The victims are not 700m above ground level, but below - and in the end everyone is saved and we are joined in celebration of the miners rescue. I do not suggest that the rescue of the miners heals the past, but I think their survival is an acheivement and absolutely thrilling!

Participants within psychodrama have been known to dramatize and thus re live the experience of being born. I wonder whether the claustrophobic travel through the escape shaft can be comparable in the the way the miners were 'brought back' into the world. I have read several newspaper comments where people are saying it is if these men have been 'born again.'

The small private San Estaban-mine 80 kilometres north of Copiap? collpased on 5. August 2010. I don't have the exact time, but the Moon would have been in Gemini and there is a perfect T-square between Mars, Jupiter and Pluto - which also involves Saturn and Uranus.

I call it the Jupiter-Uranus Extraordinary Moments cycle. It crops up especially during triple conjunctions

Indeed Jupiter-Uranus for this event culminated on the Mc within the few minutes when Florencio emerged from the capsule. Moon-Pluto-Node squared to it speaks of the extreme emotional tension building up to the climax.

The current JUP-URA cycle ends in early January 2011.

The mine in Chile collapsed on the 65th anniversary of the Hiroshima bombing. If I am not mistaken the Sun was 13LE25 on 6.Aug 1945. Due to calendar correction, ie. leap year stuff, the Solar positions appears to have been very close in both charts.

Do we have an accurate time for when the mine caved in? Where was the Moon? It is somewhere in the middle of Gemini and could be close to the ascendant for when the first miner was lifted back up to the surface.

To add to Mario's (Siderum) comprehensive article which includes timings, I saw on La Tercera (a local paper for Copiapo) in a reported dated 6th August there is a quote from the mayor of Copiapo who says the cave-in happened "around 3pm" but that it wasn't until 6pm that the authorities were notified by the owner of the mine, with no reason known, at the time of the report, for the delay:

"...el derrumbe ocurri? tipo 15:00 horas..."

Wikipedia states 2pm and gives the source as the company who own the mine, but Wikipedia doesn't give a link to a written/audio/video source to verify it.
