If you`re British then you must have Gemini rising, but in Norway it would change to Cancer with Mars in 7 I believe. If there is a grain of truth in ACG maps, then I would expect that country to be a bit challenging, with lots of competition with others, even arguments, though Mars is exalted. Does this fit the picture?

Perhaps more information than was requested. But I think it is very important to realise that often while perhaps a planet in particular signified something, that all the planets when placed in the proper sign and house could also signify that thing. Delineation is about planets in signs and houses.
Ptolemy mentions houses with the dropper, still we could not say that his way of reading a chart is ineffectual.

Coming from horary, when I started to study inside Cieloeterra's entourage, it was very difficult to become accustomed to Ptolemy. Now it's a little easier and I find that Ptolemy's significators work as well than houses.

I was especially impressed- to make an example- from the death of a famous (for us) Italian actor, 35 years old, who died after parachuting. Well, he had the configuration which Ptolemy describes as "he causes death....by a fall from a height."

I like very much how Lilly mixes both methods - houses and significators- in CA III, it's a book I use a lot.

This sounds like Schmidt, but I know that he's said that it is the 6th because it is a beast of burden (animal slave). However, given that the medieval material differentiates between large and small animals with the 6th being small animals (?) would the 12th then represent cars?
We wouldn't separate the engine from the automobile, so I wouldn't separate the horse from the cart when discussing a journey. The journey is third house. The horse and cart (combined) are possessions). Will my sick horse finish the journey, might well be 12th.

Steven has it right. There is the trip and there is the means by which we make the trip. If the sick horse is going to complete the journey ruler of the the third house might be strong and the horse weak.

I'm inclined to do the same sort of thing with a nativi
ty.
My 12th house comment was tongue in cheek and I didn't mean for it to be taken too seriously, but to make one think... as anybody knows who has car troubles and one might just as well separate the engine from the car and drive a flintstone mobile...

Well the definition of a twelfth house animal, like an horse or an elephant, is one that you can saddle up and ride so maybe it shouldn't be TIC.

If anyone wants to be tongue in cheek can they suggest any house that has not been suggested as a ruler of motor vehicles. For example,if you are making out on the back seat is that 12 or 5? :brows
