Zygon - an ancient name for Libra

The class of 7 year old children from the 2. grade of the Steinerschool at Rotvold Farm, Trondheim, were in for a suprize when they collected eggs on Tuesday, 16. November. One egg in particular was large of size and when they decided to open it there was one egg within another.

Maybe it is one of those rare occurances that can be associated with the simultaneous stations of Venus and Jupiter. The Moon was joined to fertile Jupiter in double bodied Pisces. Venus disposes Pisces by exaltation (the exaltation always shows something extraordinary!) and she is final dispositor of the chart in her own sign Libra. In his book on Chiron, Zane Stein told of how Zugon was an ancient name for Libra, meaning that which joins together. 'Zugon comes from the root word Zugos, from which we also get the biological term zygote - that is, the stage of the embryo where the sperm and egg first join in conception.'

So the topic is 'eggs'. A telephone call to a local reasearch institute explained the school teacher that the extra egg is something that can occur when the egg stops up (and is stationary!) in the oviduct of the hen. This gives time for an extra egg for form round the first.

Astrologically, maybe the exaltation of Saturn in Libra adds to the extra calcium and forming of a 'wall'. Consider the placement of Venus in Libra; On page 184 of her 'Horary Astrology Rediscovered' Olivia Barclay tells us to look for 'One room within another'. You can be sure she had it from Lilly!
