I'm posting this to show you that my observation ie initial post on this thread was obviously not so without sense as some comments suggested, and that the said conflict maybe deserves more scrutiny. In any case, I do think it has to do with the node/Pluto conjunction. Humbly, Ema.

I personally think I would consider the ramifications of the long term 'dance' with the nodal axis, and look at the nodes themselves in a broader sense.

When the 20th Century dawned Pluto was conjunct and crossing the South Node, so you could say that the stage was set for violent upheavals of an atavistic nature , largely out of anyone's control. The action was taking place on a deep collective level. All of this reflected in that move across the South Node.

The Moon itself was south of the nodal axis too emphasising tthe fated nature of events and I guess a general feeling of helplessness in any way being able to shape the unfolding circumstances. That southerly Moon at the time of the nodal conjunction was also opposite Mars , so the drums of war were beating from the very beginnings of the Century.

At that time of Pluto's conjunction with the South Node, Uranus and Jupiter were conjunct the North Node. SO these planets were heading North in relation to the nodal axis.

So the 20th Century dawned with Jupiter and Uranus having the more active role, more able to 'shape' the circumstances. SO we have revolutionary forces / the shock of the new and super- inflated pursuit of self interests! With the nodal axis and all this activity around the Mutable signs , all was in a state of flux!

In August 1939 Pluto was south of the nodal axis and at its 'bending' , its southernmost point. So all those destructive forces unleashed on a collective society - wide scale were at their very strongest point. Again Mars was tracking over opposition to Pluto during early 1939 , so again then the drums of war were beating. Saturn was conjunct the South Node. So again there was a baleful influence pointing to the fated-ness of things.

Here we are in 2010 , now it is entirely different. Pluto is conjunct the North node heading north and the waning conjunction of the Moon to that north node, at that time emphasises the fact that the Moon was heading North too. All in Cardinal signs of course. All of these factors show although faced with that 'darkness within' we are much more fitted to being masters of our own fate this time! So I guess this is actually the time when confronted with all the pain of the troubled history of the past 100 years or so, now we choose a different path and actually not plunge into war again. Certainly in this configuration Mars is conspicuously absent from this picture in comparison to the dawn of the 20th Century or the outbreak of WWII

The US and North Korea have Never Ended their War, they are in an Armed Truce, North Korea is always a pivotal point for WW3, AND Unless China intervenes, always a possibility. (maybe even if they Do, the leader of NK is a raving lunatic)

We still have Troops in Korea.
