That's interesting because lunations in the 30th degree of a sign do tend to bring matters to the end of a thread. The Full Moon with the Pleiades could indicate things that are 'bottled up' and under pressure, but not without resources. The potential for 'gifts, wealth and benefit' or to temper and destruction depends upon how matters are 'eased'.

I feel any boiling point is more likely on Dec 9-12 as Mars approaches conjunction to Pluto. Mars was recently stationary at the last conflict (sinking of South K ship), this new escalation occurred as Pluto was about to enter 5th Cap, a volatile degree symbolised thus..

Interestingly the same degree 5 Cap was on the Asc at the time of the Pearl Harour attack, just checked on Astrodeinst. Don't want to be a doom-mongerer though by intimating an outbreak of WWIII; its far more likely to be a few days of tense standoff with lots of sabre rattling.

What is the truth and value of this imagery and is it acceptable? I mean, why do the Indians always get the blame? If it is intended as a mere source of inspiration, do the 'Indians' refer to warriors, defenders of the homeland or to the Americans? The 'Canoe' is supposed to be the George Washington? And are the Americans on board performing a war dance?? Is there anything about this symbol that seems proper to pass on the either the press or men in charge? I am only asking.

The current situation is very tense and disturbing. Yet, I would like to add that our knowledge about what is going on behind the facades in North Korea is very limited. Little may seem to indicates this regime is heading for fall, yet it is uncertain what diversity of interests within the military may surface if a line of military confrontation is chosen by the current leaders. And then there are the developments of the region at large; Something is going on in China as the result of their economic revolution, yet we are still not quite sure where they are in their process and what they are ready for in a political sense.

What is the truth and value of this imagery and is it acceptable?

My problem with Sabian symbols is that firstly it doesn't reflect astrological patterns or geocentric reality. Lets not forget it was derived by psychic , occult mediumship rather than traditional astrological principles. The words are so vague it can fit everything and nothing. Its a retreat from real astrology into total mumbo jumbo as far as I am concerned. Thats my view and I accept others here will disagree. At best though surely this should be a peripheral technique rather than the bedrock of solid astrological analysis? Its easy to be wise in hindsight with such stuff. What I would like to see is one real prediction with this that works.

On a very personal note, my daughter is teaching English in Seoul. This city is actually fairly close to the border with North Korea: the Koreas are small countries.

For her sake, as well as on behalf of the millions of Koreans and international members of the armed services whose lives would be irrevocably affected, let us hope or pray (depending upon one's disposition) that the conflict does not escalate.

Possibly someone could look at the astrology of China's role in these tensions, as it is one country with influence over North Korea. I am not sure how to do that myself.

Comedians were making fun of the conflict on the television last night. I find this very disrespectful in terms of the gravity of the situation. I don't think they would have been quite so loose in either mind or mouth if living close up to the situation

I'm slightly baffled by Andrews post as of course the symbols were written of their time, much as the fixed stars were re. blindings, stabbings and drownings, nevertheless I completely fail to see any overtones of anti-native indian feelings. In fact quite the reverse, surely serious clairvoyants such as these originators of the symbols held their indian spirit guides in very high esteem, so yes I find Andrews rather self righteous tone more than baffling!

What I would like to see is one real prediction with this that works.

Well I think we are all equally mediocre when it comes to prediction (whatever system we use) but yes I think its important that we keep on trying because to quote Tommy Docherty "if you don't buy a ticket you'll ne'er win the raffle". Speaking of which, as I am still basking in the warm hazy glow of Man.Utd's magnificant 7-1 victory I shall endeavour to reply in more detail this week!

That doesn't impress me all that much as I am not in their greatest admirer club. However, I was just expressing my personal view. I am not suggesting any moderator line here. I personally think extras ( I include traditional things like fixed stars, antiscions, parts/lots) should be just be salt and pepper to go with analysis not the main meal.

Fair comment. With the exception of Andrew (who has been doing very well as a pronosticator!) I would have to agree. If mundane astrology was getting a report card it would read 'could try harder'.

Not meant to baffle, offend or seem self-righeous, Daz madrigal, just trying to work it out - whether it seems rational, reasonable and how it translates. Obviously, I could be treading into the deep here - but since you seem familiar with the use of the symbols, and this is the mundane section, it seemed proper to pose the question.
