Which Day to take as a consideration? 1 by Jotei The day/hour, person asking the question or the day/hour, you receive the question? I am asking this question because i asked a horary question to interprete to an astrologer with the day/hour but he analysed the chart with day/hour he received the question. If it was the same day i understand but we are talking about 25 days difference btwn my timing and his timing. i hope,i could express my question. 2 by aglaya Hi, Jotei! I understand your question, it has been brought up many times here on forum but the truth is- there doesn't appear to be a 'consensus' here about which one of the two is "better". Nowadays that email represents a legitimate way of contacting astrologers and asking questions, servers allow us to see the exact time when the question was formulated even without seeing the person - email messages have the date and the exact time which, along with the coordinates of the place, is technically all that we need. Some astrologers (would) use that data and cast a chart considering it to be the moment when the client decided to present his or her question to the astrologer seeking for help or additional informations. What some astrologers find unconvincing about this version is the fact that it is hard to tell as to when exactly the question was written down (the querent may have been writing the letter for hours). So, obviously, this isn't necessarily the moment of birth of the question as the question may have been 'sleeping' in the Querent's head for much longer. So, many astrologers do not 'support' this way because, even if we did have the moment when the question first popped up in the Querent's mind, we would still only have the time of the question, not the time of the "Horary question". If a question is born when a person becomes genuinely interested in finding out the truth (the potential, the influences etc.) then a Horary question is born when an astrologer (a person capable of translating the language of the stars into the ordinary language) receives and understands the question. That is also why the astrologers don't ask the Querent who comes to see them in person:' when did this question first come to your mind?' but they rather use the moment when the Querent explains the situation and asks the question in front of them after being introduced to the fact that from that moment on, it is not anymore a purely theoretical question but rather a trigger for an astrological analysis. Once the Question is accepted by the astrologer, he or she can cast a chart that ca actually deliver some useful informations. For this reason, many astrologers, in case they receive question via email or regular snail mail, decide to use the moment when they read and understood the question as the relevant time for the chart. Besides the current, local time, they use the coordinates of the place where the message was read rather than the coordinates of the place from which the letter was sent because that is the place (and time) where the Horary question is born. 3 by Tanit Hi Jotei, As Aglaya already mentioned, this has been discussed in the forum before - if you search around in old threads you will see a few posts on the same subject. My theory is that when you read a chart based on the querent's time/place, the chart is more likely to have issues in readability for the astrologer, for various reasons, such as - The first reason I think you might have an issue is because an astrologer is a unique individual, just as anyone else is, and in interpreting a chart they will understand certain symbolisms in a way that might be different than other astrologers, and perhaps the heavens, or whatever your point of view is, might be more likely to permit a chart in the ways that they understand - that is not to say that no one else will be able to make sense of it, but the astrologer of the chart holds the most power to read it. This is the same situation in any form of divination. If you lay out a spread of tarot cards and then ask someone else to read it for you, they might be able to, but is this quite as powerful as when an adept tarot reader does the spread themselves to read it for you? I think this is also an issue in cases where the astrologer needs to clarify the situation before asking the question. For example, someone comes to you with a question about relocating, but the question is really about a romantic partner and whether or not they are going to have a successful move together - the initial quesiton wasn't what the person was asking and it was a confused statement, which will likely show up in the chart. When the astrologer discusses the matter first with the client, understands the situation fully and is prepared to ask the question, the chart is more likely to be formulated in a way that the astrologer will understand and be able to read properly. Read through the question and the moment when you fully understand it, it becomes the time when you should run the chart. CD Quote Sun Dec 19, 2010 4:58 am
5 by Tanit I don't see a right or wrong necessarily, it's a matter of choice for the astrologer. I know at least one professional astrologer who uses the querent's data and he stands by his methods. He's much more learned and experienced than I, and I am sure he has his reasons. He's given me readings that have been accurate, using my data (although I can obviously read the charts also). 6 by Jotei Thank you all. The fact is, i have two readings for the same chart. One was base on my data (location/hour) and the other one is based on the astrologers data ,location, date ,time. As you can guess they are different. I wanted to ask to the astrologer who seemed very professional to me but i was disappointed to see that he used his data instead of mine i gave to him in purpose. The other reading of the same chart read by Horary students, based on my data. Honestly, they were much better than him! as far as explaning the situation, facts etc. With one month difference btwn two data,i think i am going to count on the student"s read. I think,at this point,i am the one who can decide which one the count on since i am in the circle and know circumstances better. What do you think ? Quote Mon Dec 20, 2010 12:14 am
7 by Tanit The other reading of the same chart read by Horary students, based on my data. Honestly, they were much better than him! as far as explaning the situation, facts etc. Any seasoned professional is likely to be a bit weary and less passionate about their practice and more likely to be succinct about a matter, IMO. Students are more eager to dissect every little bit of whatever they are studying, but they can also miss the big picture, which a professional will get right away. A seasoned professional may be less detailed sometimes, depending on the individual, but their accuracy is likely better than a student's. Quote Mon Dec 20, 2010 12:43 am
8 by yuzuru Hi, Jotei you should be aware that, just the fact that you are showing the same horary to different people to compare their views, could be viewed in itself as a "consideration against judgement". If you do that, you need to, at least, tell your astrologer that either he is not the first one judging this chart, or that you are planning to show the chart to other people, and if he is ok with that. 9 by Jotei Hi Yuzuru, Thank you . Well..honestly,i had no bad intention with what i did but i told (wrote) to him right after your reply. Tanit, I see your point but having two charts with the same question makes the proffesional one to see the wrong whole picture i am guessing. Again, the question was asked a month ago and when i asked him the same question with the same date,he interpret the chart with his data the day he received. Anyway,i am going to count on the first one. :-) Quote Mon Dec 20, 2010 3:25 am
10 by Tanit Jotei - were the two charts conflicting in information? Usually repeat charts are similar anyway (with or without this issue). Quote Mon Dec 20, 2010 10:37 pm

Tanit, Yes,they were..the main reason was Quesited used for both readings were different.Plus i told to the astrologer about the fact someone already interprete the chart ,so please use the data i gave but he didn't care. No only,ASC isn't describing me either if i know something a little bit. Quote Tue Dec 21, 2010 12:15 am
12 by elumen Hi Jotei, I always use my date/time for the questions, b/c I am the one who is receiving and interpreting the question in the moment. In my experience of a few years, the charts repeat themselves if the question is asked in all sincerely and is meaningful, I saw only twice a big difference in the chart I erected for my time and that of my client. With that said, I try to avoid ambiguity by always using my date/time. I'm a bit surprised that you found such discrepancy, it shows that one of the charts most likely was not radical, i.e. either the moment is not right, or the question was not ripen in some way or the other. I understand you're disappointed by the reading done by the professional astrologer, why do you not try to interpret it yourself and learn as you are doing that? elumen Quote Tue Dec 21, 2010 2:20 am
