911, Moon was at 29 GE and mars was at 1 Cap

SAturn was at 14 GE and is at 16 LiB now so trine its placement then, transiting Saturn also conj 911 Mercury which was at 14 Libra then.

mars is at about 8 cap now, so a bit past that alignment, but certainly reminiscent, Also the Sun, Merc, NN and Pluto all hanging out in the first 5 degrees of Cap. a bit different feel to it?

I also think Pluto Opp Saturn on 911 was far more significant, than the Moon mars opposition, just an opinion of course, I think this transit brings out a lot more about how we've treated the first responders of 911, than any new attack. Possibly the Saturn Conj Mercury is reflective of that. The grand trine between Uranus, Mercury and Saturn on 911 also seems to me to have been about how chaos impeded communication with authority on that day, though I say they still did a damn fine job, even with all the chaos. new york cities finest really were that day. (the finest, that is)

Transiting Venus is Trine the 911 Jupiter, though she isn't any happier in Scorpio than she is in Leo, in fact less so. And Pluto has gone from religious zealotry to Change Management, so I would suspect some very different behavior out of this transit. Anyway just some thoughts.

A 6,3 Richter Earthquake hit Iran on Dec 20. 2010 at 18.43 GMT, 28N26, 59E06. This is less than 12 hours ahead of today's lunar eclipse. Casting the lunar eclipse for the region gives:

Sun 29SG21, Moon 29GE21
Asc 3AR24, MC 2CP12, NN 2CP52

This means that the Sun and the Dragon's Head was culminating in the South, with the Moon and the Dragon's Tail on the cusp of the 4th.

The event itself has Sun 28SG47, Moon 21GE48, Asc 11VI35, MC 10GE41. I fail to see the triggering issue, but the luminaries are in angular houses, being the 4th and 10th, and Jupiter, who is Lord of the 4th, is applying to Uranus in the angular 7th.

Norwegian Newspaper Aftenposten ask whether readers saw the Moon disappear and relate to the event as a special coincidence on the year's Darkest Day.

I am wondering whether this symbology is a good or bad thing. Generally, the Winter Solstice and Sun's entry into the sign of Capricorn represents the return of the Sun God in the midst of darkness. Thanks for bringing this one up and for displaying the chart Greg. Personally, I would prefer a whole government to take on Rupert Murdoch not just a rogue Minister. Murdoch's influence on British politics is profoundly unhealthy for our democracy. However, I do digress...From a practical point of view I cant see how Vince Cable can remain in his current role long. He has demonstrated a degree of partisanship ministers cannot show openly.
