The supposedly lesser benefic is looking gorgeous in the sky this morning, shining so brightly above snow-dusted trees. So brightly that I'm tempted to think 'lesser' is not doing justice to her captivating luminosity!

I haven't got a camera capable of taking a photo of the tranquil scene outside but I'm sure some of you have seen it yourselves. Lovely, isn't it?

I was looking at it about 3:30 am (early Christmas eve trip to the supermarket) - it really did look gorgeous with the snowy backdrop.

I hope you didn't park in the mother-and-toddler spaces with your reindeer-powered sleigh

I was doing more or less the same as you (supermarket) but waited until it was light... the dark wasn't my cup of S.A.D. tea.

Still, when I did finally make the trip the low coppery sunlight striking across the roads from behind me with the Moon in front made up for my lateness, and made me want a 180-degree camera lens or a swivelling head like an owl.

As I write, the greater benefic is outside the window, looking decidedly the lesser... poor little mite
