It's my understanding, the current military exercises are scheduled primarily for the month of December and are designed to intimidate. After the first of the year, with the easing of these intense military displays, it's very likely this will blow over and nothing untoward will happen. Until then however, there is always the danger of serious miscalculation. The US participation in all this gives one pause for thought. The Sun/Pluto conjunction is opposing the US natal Jupiter, symbolic perhaps of America's military muscle flexing......

The article does an excellent job of exploring all the astrological nuances involved. After assessing the situation from various angles and looking further afield into the Spring, I couldn't help but notice a fascinating array of aspects unfolding around the spring solstice that connect to the recent events of the past month or so.

Here are some points to consider.....

March 18th has an exact Moon-Mars opposition at 18 Virgo-Pisces. Could this activate the Moon-Mars opp. of November 23rd and the Yeonpyoeng island debacle (18-19 Sagittarius-Gemini)? The following day has the March 19, 11 full moon at 28 Virgo forming a grand cross square to the nodes at 28 Sagittarius/Gemini perhaps stimulating the events of Dec 20th and the December 21, '10 lunar eclipse. Within a few hours of the Full Moon, the Moon progresses onward to conjoin Uranus at 0 Aries in square to North Korea's natal Uranus. Lots of Uranian/Mars energy attached to this. Could this describe a series of sudden events involving the South and North Korean military?

It may be unrealistic to pin down these things to one singular speculative event in time. However, after all is said and done, what is at stake here is not only a well defined regional crisis, but a potentially dramatic situation involving nuclear warheads. This will affect everyone. I personally don't see the present status quo remaining the same for an indefinite period of time into the future.

If the interest is still there, I am eager to hear more thoughts on Steve's article submitted in this blog earlier ('Crisis On The Korean Peninsula - War?"). I had originally thought the omission of the Uranus, Neptune and Pluto transits presented an incomplete analysis and so admittedly I didn't review it with my full attention. However, after examining the aspects involved in the upcoming Aries Spring Equinox more thoroughly, I've come to feel that there may be some definite merit to Steve's conclusions.

Below are two recent articles on the subject. The first one deals with the astrocartography of North Korea and the 2011 spring equinox. The second relates to the ramifications of the March/April 2011 transits. Both are very intriguing. It would be interesting to hear some opinions on it.

It is interesting(and potentially highly significant) that the partial solar eclipse of 4.1.2011. falls almost exactly upon Mars/ascendant of Capricorn ingress chart (and in the 1st house of this year's Aries ingress) of Korea, although the eclipse itself won't be visible there.
The chart has Mars in Capricorn sitting exactly on cusp of the 7th, and Saturn exalted in the 4th is a dispositor of the 'event' itself. So this eclipse is ruled by both malefics (as far as Kora is concerned).
This ominous theme is repeating itself with remarkable consistency through all the relevant charts.

I haven't been able to find the data about the duration of eclipse(equinoctial hours) in order to see when it might show its influence most forcibly. Since it is under the horizon in the 6th, its influence should be felt in the last third of its duration,according to Ptolemy.

Anyway, around that time(day or two later) the transiting Sun is going to reach and activate the destructive potential of Mars/Saturn square chart.
I wonder if this convergence of influences can happen without causing any further disturbances/clashes...?

Here is the chart of the solar eclipse. I have timed it from the time of greatest eclipse rather than the zodiacal conjunction although as Goran points out it is not visible in east Asia. Time: 08:50:35 GMT or 17:50:35 JST.

What Nancy fails to mention is that at the time of the Equinox, the US Sibly chart will also be experiencing its progressed moon conjunct the US nadir at 1 Aries. President Obama simultaneously has his progressed Sun at 0 Libra. Here's the Equinox chart set for Washington DC.....

It just caught my attention(why didn't I see this earlier?) that the ascendant of Aries ingress for US in 2011. falls directly on the degree of the previous Mars/Saturn conjunction in Libra - definitely a very dangerous indicator for the entire nation.
In the foundational Aries ingress chart for the US, both Mars and Saturn are posited in the 4th(Pisces), disposed by Jupiter in Cancer in the 8th (by division). Additionally, Saturn is the radical ruler of the lot of war.

Since Mars, Saturn and Jupiter all have to do with the radical 4th(either by being placed there or ruling it) and are posited in water signs, the constellation of the three superiors given in Aries ingress of 2011.(oriental Mars in Pisces in the 6th) leads me to believe that the US is going to be attacked on the high sea or on its own territory - another terrorist attack?

Looking at the Aries ingress of 1789 I notice that the next profected year falls into the radical 7th which signifies wars/contentions, ruled by Venus. Venus is in exact conjunction with Mars , in close conjunction with retrograde Mercury and Saturn in the radical 4th - all of them oriental and thus very powerful in showing their effects. Venus actually separates from retrograde Mercury in detriment and fall and applies to Mars(besieged) and this makes her highly debilitated and damaged, hence we can expect her influence in any subsequent ingress to be very negative.
In Aries ingress of 2011, Venus is again oriental in the 5th in Aquarius (one of the 'violent' signs) and rules the lot of war in Libra in the 1st.

When everything is taken into account, I think the next war for the US is on schedule in 2011, or 'at least' another terrorist attack on its soil that is going to be very destructive - the degree of Mars/Saturn conjunction activated by the ascendant of Aries ingress itself indicates war and bloodshed.
I hope this won't materialize the way it theoretically 'should'.

Hi there , as a contrast to some of the febrile imiganings at work in this threat, a great news item emerged a couple of days back from North Korea. The North Koreans showed the first ever Western film to be broadcast on State television , on Boxing Day. The film was "Bend it LIke Beckham" , and was broadcast along with a message that it was being shown to commemorate 10 Years of diplomatic ties with the UK. May seem trivial , but in reality not so. THe film itself is an interesting choice , because apart from the Korea's known love for football, it shows a clear view of multiracial everyday Britain that North Koreans probably never got to see before. (Mars/Saturn - sport beating against the barriers??)
