Good Chart for Creative Venture? 1 by R.A. Hi guys, I'd appreciate any opinions on this chart--I created an online video channel for my music, and this is its birth chart. Of course, the goal is for it to be successful and well-known with lots of viewers as that leads to many opportunities (one of those, obtaining a partnership with the website). The Scorpio ascendant ruler is Mars aptly exalted in the third house (which I associate with the internet, communications and media), who also happens to rule the fifth house (music, creative ventures, etc). So, Mars is combust by the Sun I know, but I don't necessarily see it as an obliterating thing in this case. Tanit said something in another thread which is kind of how I see the Sun in this chart too (especially since it rules fortuna & the MC) I know that combustion is a big no-no, but I tend to not always see it deny things. Maxz has a daughter who won a spot on a TV show to be awarded a new puppy, and her child was combusted, which I associated with a level of fame or feeling starstruck. .. and if it does get successful, I definitely, definitely, will feel like hiding (I'm quite the shy type)! It certainly wouldn't be out of my character to disappear/hide a while after success. Anyway what I find interesting when I made it is that the Moon is at the exact degree of exaltation of the Sun while applying to a square with mixed reception in the fifth house. I do take this aspect to be positive. Mars' next aspect is to Jupiter which looks to be fruitful, since Jupiter is the second house ruler (income, obviously:D) and dignified. Let me know your thoughts & opinions, please. Thank you. 2 by Paul Hi RA Did you elect this chart? Just wondering if maybe you should post it in one of the other forums. Quote Wed Jan 19, 2011 5:01 pm

I just decided to go through with it. ?Famous are those persons in whose Nativities the Moon receives the light of many Planets.? ?Cardanus. Quote Wed Jan 19, 2011 5:16 pm

5 by GR Hi R.A. Others will probably make better comments, but from what I gather, having the Moon averse to the rising sign, along with her separating opposition and square to the malefics (Saturn & Mars respectively) is Not Good. Gabe Quote Wed Jan 19, 2011 6:30 pm
6 by Olivia Okay, copied the image and enlarged it - I agree with Gabe. I like Regulus on the MC, but I don't like the 'accursed degree' on the Ascendant, the Moon in aversion to the ascendant, squaring Mars (even received - these two planets are not friends), and opposing Saturn - would rather see Moon applying to the benefics - I don't think Regulus will overcome all that. I'm also a bit wary of the sextile from Mars to Jupiter given that Jupiter falls in Capricorn - sextiles and trines to places of detriment or fall don't work out well in my experience, especially if a malefic is involved. But the channel goes 'live' when you actually post a video. So maybe elect a time for doing that? Quote Wed Jan 19, 2011 7:25 pm
7 by The alchemist Hi, I don't believe you can elect a chart without recourse to your natal chart. I think that we've discussed this elsewhere, but here's the most basic things I would look out for an election: 1. The ASC of the election should be in trine or sextile with natal ASC or with the natal house ruling the matter elected, in this case the 5th. 2. Natal 5th house ruler should be strong, essentially and accidentaly, in the election. 3. The luminaries should be also strong and dignified. I very much like the fact that you put Regulus right on the MC and Jupiter on the cusp of the 5th. Also, the 3rd house emphasis. It's good. The only thing that worries me is that most of the planets are below the horizon. It would be great if some of the main significators were above the horizon and hopefully angular or at least in the 11th house. Also, there are too many late degrees in this chart. I hope all goes well for you. Good luck with your venture! Quote Thu Jan 20, 2011 3:03 am
8 by R.A. Lol, this is why I like opinions.. far less objective with my own charts! And sorry about the size of the chart, I couldn't get it bigger at the time. Also.. I'm much more of a horary person than electional, so thank you for any info on electional strictures. GR: Others will probably make better comments, but from what I gather, having the Moon averse to the rising sign, along with her separating opposition and square to the malefics (Saturn & Mars respectively) is Not Good. Yeah, I definitely figured the opposition to Saturn wasn't good, but it's separating--why does it really matter if it's a separating influence? Also both the malefics are dignified. I think I was just reading Firmicus who said something about sextiles being blunted (possibly he said by irreception, I was skimming through so I can't remember--you probably know for sure more than me Liv ). And I don't think Regulus can do anything if the chart doesn't support it, I've seen many horaries with royal fixed stars support (incl. Regulus) and it didn't do much to negate an unfavorable chart. Oh by the way.. the ascendant degree is at 18, not 19 so it's not at the accursed degree thankfully. I am a Scorpio riser natally, so this has the same ascendant. My natal fifth house ruler is Jupiter as well. My natal third house (I think the third house is really important too for this matter) is Saturn ruled, so Saturn is strong in this chart too. So I've got everything but the luminaries. ?Famous are those persons in whose Nativities the Moon receives the light of many Planets.? ?Cardanus. Quote Thu Jan 20, 2011 4:50 am
10 by Tanit Tanit said something in another thread which is kind of how I see the Sun in this chart too (especially since it rules fortuna & the MC) I think most of the horary questions I've seen about "fame" of any type have involved combustion. But I don't think it necessarily recommends this or promises it so much as shows the power of fame over the querent. Most famous people have a lot of 10th house influences that promote fame, which would be the fixed stars and also good luminaries in the 10th/10th rulers, etc. There have been discussions on fame in the past in the natal forum that go into this much better than I am stating, of course. If you are a Scorpio rising with Mars ruling the 5th, Mars in Pisces might be a better time for you than Capricorn. It really depends on your own chart, but Mars in Pisces seems like a great placement for a music chart, since he champions the causes of Pisces and Pisces is wonderful at artistic expression (Venus' exaltation, plus Mars' triplicity). I guess it depends on the type of music too, since Mars in Pisces probably has more of a distinct sound - a lot of famous musicians with Mars in Pisces in natal seem slightly similar in their energies: Bono, Annie Lennox, Dido, Phil Collins, Nora Jones, Miles Davis, Josh Grobin. I agree about event charts with natal! Event charts seem to be a specialized form of transits to me, at least when using them for personal issues vs. mundane matters (weather prediction, etc. - still we might look at the natal of a location). That cardinal t-square looks really difficult to me offhand! Quote Fri Jan 21, 2011 7:10 am
11 by Deb Hi R.A. Everything except Saturn is below the horizon, so this is a lot to do with things going on that don't get seen (perhaps this is really about your practice and preparation?). Someone mentioned another chart for when you first publish or promote - at the very least aim to get your own significator in the 1st 10th, 11th or 7th house (10th ideally), so that it is strong by angularity and in a position where it gets noticed and can express itself. Hi Deb, Thanks. Of course the 10th is important, but do you think the dignification in the relevant house isn't just as good? As the 3rd relates to the internet and mass-media exposure. ?Famous are those persons in whose Nativities the Moon receives the light of many Planets.? ?Cardanus. Quote Sat Jan 29, 2011 10:42 pm
