by Mark I have been unable to obtain timed data for the birthchart of Mubarak. However, here is a solar chart for his day of birth. Since Mubarak assumed the Presidency so long ago it also seems interesting to examine the chart for when he assumed office on October 14th , 1981. This chart could be seen as a descriptor for Mubarak's reign of office. Again the chart is solar. Andrew Bevan also has been looking at this chart too and made the following coment on the Mars Cazimi thread: ....on Oct 14. 1981 - Jupiter was cazimi. In comparison with the casizimi of Mars where the Sun is in its detriment in Aquarius, on the day Mubarak took over as President, Jupiter was cazimi with the Sun in his fall, Libra. Also note how Venus disposes both Sun and Moon, and Venus and Jupiter are in mutual reception NOTE ANGLES ARE NOT BASED ON TIMED CHARTS ABOVE As thou conversest with the heavens, so instruct and inform thy minde according to the image of Divinity William Lilly Quote Mon Jan 31, 2011 2:01 am
by Eddy Note the Sun-Mars conjunction in the June 1953 Egypt chart. With a synodic ('new' Mars to 'new' Mars) cycle of ca. 2.13 years, Mars has a return at averagely 57.6, i.e. now after 27 synodic cycles. Perhaps other prominent affairs are to be found in other returns. E.g those in combination with solar returns. Roughly at 15, 17 years, a finer one at 32 years, an more exact one at 47 and even more exact at 79 years solar return. Note that the latter numbers are constituted of the former numbers. This reminds of the use of 'goal years' in Babylonian astrology. Quote Mon Jan 31, 2011 8:32 am
by Lunlumo Mark wrote: Just one question Lunlumo. Why have you used the last Jupiter-Saturn conjunction rather than the most recent septar following the creation of the Egyptian republic in 1953? Well,I wasn't so sure as to the exact time given for the republic ... and then there are two more charts (for the independence, 1922). But the 1953 chart actually seems trustworthy. The ninth septar, giving an insight into the time 6/2009 - 6/2016 : AC 27 degrees Pisces. the demonstration started when UR was in exact conjunction - plus UR square SU/IC/MC (a clear indication that the time given is correct). JU, ruler of AC in Aquarius in house eleven will most certainly mean a country on the way to gaining freedom from what bondages ever. But NE, secondary AC- ruler and MC-ruler in Scorpio in eight means a state of transformation on the verge to destruction - see house six, where Moon/Node are in exact midposition of MA/UR and Pl. Also note NE antisc. MA/UR. All this might indeed be a breakdown of "everyday life", including food supply, labour etc. LL Quote Mon Jan 31, 2011 9:16 am
by deeptiman Hi,glad to be here- without doubt a high-level astrological debate ongoing! It seems to me, that one of the keys to understand the Egypt uprising lies in the previous Jupiter-Saturn conjunctions and oppositions. The ascention of Mubarack to power was preceded by a Jupiter-Saturn conjunction,in Libra, which affects the Ascendent of ingress solar chart of March 1981 and falls at house 10 of the chart root displayed by Mark. In the solar ingress chart that precedes Mubarack rising to power, Saturn-Jupiter conjuncts the Moon, which islord of house 10 of the ingress chart. The Last Jupiter Saturn opposition of May,23 was the first time, since 1981,that a conjunction or opposition of the great cronocrators affects house 10 of the Root chart(10 house cusp lies at end of virgo sign) at the same time, the next ingress solar chart of march 2011,shows Jupiter-Saturn in the Libra-Ares axis again, Saturn with The Moon in house 10. Could you please post the chart,i'm not suceeding in the post proceed. All the best Gerson "Life is a gift, enjoy" Quote Mon Jan 31, 2011 12:57 pm

Jupiter-Saturn 18 by deeptiman Thank you very much for your helping hand LL ! You're correct,Moon/ Sat ,by quadrant System, are found in house 9,not 10. Nevertheles,i've read in some traditional sources(like Bonatti's Book of astronomy) that the use of whole sign houses was concomitant with quadrant system. For Example,Bonatti quotes an ingress chart by Abu Ma'shar(Ben dikes translation, treatise 8,pg 1026) where we can read : '' And the Sun was in opposition of the Ascendent, receding".Int the chart quoted,Sun was zero degree Aries, and the Ascendent, 15 degrees Libra. The same situation we could note looking at the next revolution of the years(March 2011),Moon/ Saturn "receding" been cadent from angle by degree but in conjunction by Whole signs. Thank you again LL! Gerson "Life is a gift, enjoy" Quote Mon Jan 31, 2011 2:11 pm
by Mark Nevertheles,i've read in some traditional sources(like Bonatti's Book of astronomy) that the use of whole sign houses was concomitant with quadrant system. Hi Gerson, From my reading of Ben Dykes I got the impression that the idea of working with whole sign and quadrant together, while used by some Persian and Arabic astrologers, didn't really get transmitted to European astrology. There is an interesting (and very complex!) discussion of this topic in Ben Dykes new translation: INTRODUCTIONS TO TRADITIONAL ASTROLOGY of Abu Ma'shar & Al-Qabisi. He suggests Abu'Mashar may have been using whole sign ( with quadrant houses as strength indicator) while Al-Qabisi was only using quadrant houses in Dykes opinion. He suggests Al-Qabisi's position became more and more popular in Arabic astrology. I plan to open a thread on this topic on the traditional forum as Dykes introduces some very complicated ideas on how house systems were used and proposals on how they should be used in his introduction to the book. On a personal level I currently use whole sign to desgnate topics (house rulers) and a system of house division (Placidus) to assess planetary strength. For now I suggest we all move on to prediction rather than analysing our techniques any further. What is going to happen here? What are the charts telling us? Some of you have already ventured an opinion on the likely outcome. I think it would be good for us all to have go. 20 by deeptiman Hi Mark, thank's for your comments. Viewing in retrospect ,all the rulers ,since the proclamation of the egyptian republic, rised to power near periods of time in which Jupiter and Saturn in transit were making aspect with each other: Nasser :June 12 1956(Jupiter Saturn square) Anwar Sadat: October 15 1970 (Jupiter-Saturn opposition- November 1970) Mubarack: October 14,1981 (Jupiter-Sat/ Conjunction - july,24 1981) Another important aspect to take note is the ingress solar chart for the year of the egyptian revolution of 1952( when monarchy reachs his end): Saturn and Jupiter were in opposition in the axis Libra-Aries and Moon was lord of house 10 aspecting both planets. Again,we have a very similar configuration in the next solar ingress chart of Aries, and in my opinion we are in the presence of another revolution in course. Lunations of April could be decisive in all the process of the rise of a new power: the full moon of april 18 with Sun, Mercury,Mars,Jupiter in Aries in opposition with Moon/Saturn in Libra. Then,in June 2011, Saturn leaves retrogradation: in the aries solar ingress chart for March 2011 Saturn in house 10 is retro;in the next solar ingress chart of Cancer, Saturn will be in house 10 again and the Ascendant of this chart will be near the degree of the ascendant's prior chart - maybe an important step to power shift ocurring during this period of 3 months. I expect the opinion of other astrologers, more learned than me (Steven?) All the best Gerson Pelafsky "Life is a gift, enjoy" Quote Tue Feb 01, 2011 2:30 am
by MikeCoop HI ALL Its noticeable in that Eclipse chart set for Cairo that the conjunction of Jupiter and Uranus is rising. That combination speaks very much of a struggle for freedom and the righting of wrongs. That conjunction is given a specific voice by Rising Star mode Venus in her warrior raiment. At that eclipse she is casting a trine to the Jupiter/Uranus conjunction. Matters have come to a head now, now that warlike Venus has moved forward to currently cast a Square to Uranus! I guess that the previous Mars - Saturn square plays into this since it speaks of power struggles within authoritarian regimes, and the current strong Mars stirs the pot, which yet again Venus is going to bring us back Saturn again, since it will shorly move into Saturn's rulership and mutual reception. At that time of course Venus will be squaring Jupiter with its martial disposition. I guess hopes of freedom in this forhtcoming Saturn context look like being dashed to the ground! mike c Quote Wed Feb 02, 2011 9:22 pm
by Lunlumo As we all know Tunisia was the first country, Egypt not the last one to revolt. This is the crisis not of some corrupt politicians - it is fundamentally the crisis of societies ruled by traditional laws of Islam - it is actually a clear indication of the decline of that religion and its authorities. Saudi-Arabia may be (still) a rich state - but it is the home of Islam. The forthcoming JU_SAt oppostion for Mecca clearly demonstrates a crisis that won't be overcome by just replacing some corrupt persons: LL Quote Thu Feb 03, 2011 6:41 am
by pankajdubey @LL I think your chart will be something to talk about and you are on to something bigger. Venus rules Islam and it is exalted and disposes the exalted but retrograde Saturn. Would this herald an Islamic Renaissance. Pluto rising in Capricorn could be rise of Islam In traditional Capricorn territory like India/Pakistan. PD Quote Thu Feb 03, 2011 9:23 am
by Lunlumo You're so right - this is most certainly not a small matter - and the impact will make itself felt over the forthcoming years. Talking about SAT/JU: the 1980 conjunction - start of the airy cycle: when referred to Mecca we get a chart with an AC at 9.x degrees conj. SAT/JU and Sun con. IC at 10 degrees Capricorn. Sat tr. will soon return to the AC - and what is more: the forthcoming UR/PL square will exert its full impact on that chart. I do not really know (who knows??) what will be the result - but I'm sure Islam will be faced with a really intense crisis. It will have to face the fact that it won't be able to survive in its present form. Islam in its present form is incompatible with what we call a secular society. The "mother" of JU/SAT-conjunctions is the coniunctio maxima of Dec. 18th, 1603 - AC for Mecca at ten degrees Aquarius. When Mars reached that AC some days ago the crisis in Egypt reached its peak. This chart shows the present sec.progressions of that Great Conjunction : UR is going to transit that AC in April and October 2011 and in early 2012 - and transits over sec.prgressive positions may be most intense.
