Angles in a turned chart ? 1 by Jarac011 Hello, I am wondering about angles in a turned chart. Do they change or do they stay the same as if the chart was normal (first house ruler for the querent) ? I have an option in my program to actually turn the chart, and it also makes sense to me to change the angles accordingly, but i read in Frawley's book that he says angles are always the same, but I don't see the logic in that. So if I ask a question about my child for example, is the radical 11th house now his opposite angle (since that would be his 7th), or is the radical 7th still the angle (which would be his kindred etc.) ? So how do you guys judge it ? Quote Sun Feb 06, 2011 11:51 am
2 by Goca I think Frawley want to say, when you turned the chart, in your case, 5 house radical chart is turned 1st house for your children, but the house is still succedent, not angular. Of course 11 house of radical chart will be children;s 7 house, succedent. He wants to say that 1st, 4th, 7th and 10th stay always angular if you turn the chart. 4 by Tanit This is a good question and one that I have seen others ask before for missing item horaries in particular. Radical angles ("angles of the figure," etc.) remain unchanged. I don't recal the ancients ever changing the angles, even when turning charts. The ASC will always be the sign rising in the eastern horizon at the time of the question, and therefore the ASC of the chart as a whole. Planetary hour rulers and everything that follows ties to the ASC and not the turned ASC. You can't change the ASC and all of the angles that fall on top of that will have a say in the chart, whether it is turned or not. Quote Sun Feb 06, 2011 10:11 pm
