Best books on traditional natal ? 1 by Jarac011 Hello people, What books would you most recommend on traditional natal ? I am currently reading CA Book 3, and have ordered and waiting for Abu Ali's Judgments of Nativities. What do you think of those 2 books and what other would you recommend ? 2 by horarcek Hi Jarac, I recommend you to view the topic: Traditional Book List on Traditional Forum of Skyscript. Trojan P.S. Maybe you don`t know but there is a Abu Ali`s book in Serbian language (Tuma?enje natalnog horoskopa) Reges Subjucent Legibus Stellarum Quote Thu Feb 10, 2011 6:20 pm
3 by Olivia Abu Ali is good, but recently Helena Avelar and Luis Ribiero have published On the Heavenly Spheres in modern English - or Portuguese. I'm not sure it's available in other languages, but it is a good primer on traditional astrology. The traditional book list is here: http://skyscript.co.uk/forums/viewtopic.php?t=5759 Quote Thu Feb 10, 2011 6:29 pm
4 by Jarac011 Thanks for the link. I seem to be unable to search by topic here for some reason, so i can't really search for anything. Horarcek, Thanks for the serbian info, though I prefer to buy books in english and translate them myself since i trust myself the most And I didn't know about it, though I managed to find Frawley's book in serbian which I didn't really like (I mean the fact that it was translated into Serbian. I liked the book allright, don't agree with some of it but didn't feel sorry for purchasing it) but the good thing about it was that it was 3 times cheaper then amazon price which is where I buy my english books I will review the list now and probably ask back here if I have more questions, and of course I would like other people to contribute with their opinions. 5 by Ile Steven Forrest - Inner Sky Stephen Arroyo - all books, especially "Handbook for Chart Interpretation" These two are my favorite, and I think that with them you're on a 'safe' ground. Quote Sat Jun 04, 2011 10:37 pm
6 by Tom I'm not sure I'd classify Stephen Forrest or Stephen Arroyo as "traditional." Quote Tue Jun 07, 2011 11:20 am
7 by Tanit One book I greatly enjoy is Firmicus' Ancient Astrology: Theory and Practice. It lists the meanings of separating and applying aspects of the Moon in relation to other planets (such as leaving an aspect from Saturn and applying to Venus) and other little nuances that I never seem to find anywhere else. Here is Tom's second list: http://skyscript.co.uk/forums/viewtopic.php?t=5759 Quote Thu Jun 09, 2011 4:31 am

Yes Tom, you are right Stephen is modern astrologer, but one year ago when I've posted this I was a junior modern astrologer and I didn't knew of the existence of Traditional Astrology. Today it is vice versa! Quote Wed Feb 29, 2012 3:31 am
