In view of the unstable reactor, the Moon needs to pass through the degree of Mars' fall at 28? Cancer, which occurs at 16.00 GMT this afternoon and from that point ahead for 4 hours. This would put the Moon in an area of the ecliptic that represented 'water that was boiling' and events running astray. Under ordinary circumstances this would simply indicate an infection, an inflamation or an 'internal' family conflict - but the situation down in Japan is something of an emergency, so events are expressed in the extreme.

On the other hand, if the Japanese can get control of the reactor and manage to solve the problem and get past this interval, this could be taken as an indication of the positive. The Moon applies to the trine of Uranus in the first minutes of fire sign Aries. When past this point, the Moon in the terms and face of Saturn in the fixed sign Leo, could determine the facts of a more stable or enduring kind. Those nuclear expert should and are, quite obviously, working like hell to resolve the issue.

I think, the best way to see the places, or possibility for earthquake is the use of the old rules in mundane astrology.
There is one rule: on IC (4.House cusp) if there is Saturn, this is a strong indication for earthquake.
So look at the "map" with the Newmoon, or Eclipse from 4. Januar 2011.
Where is the IC Saturn line? You can proof this rule in a lot of earthquake! Aso Mars on this position means the same (sometime also AS/DES)
You can see Newseeland in this line!

You can proof this rule with other Ingresses or Eclipses in connection to earthquakes in the past!

If you look to the Ingress of Sun in Libra 2011, look where is the IC Saturn?
So if the rule is right too there, it looks like the next worst case

Whithin an earthquake season, this may be true. However, earthquakes are not always the issue. In example, the Uranus line that was due to shake Italy in its foundations as shown in the chart for the solar eclipse Arpil 8. 2005 was not an earthquake, but in fact the death of the pope. And neither did the Uranus over the West coast of Norway in the New Moon chart of Febrary 3. 2011 cause a significant earthquake - but on the very day the coastline was hit by the most powerful storm for 4 years. I know you said Saturn, but I just took Uranus as an example. Earthquakes are in fashion at the moment, but then it will go quiet and the orientation will be another. Pick up on the cluster of affairs - then you have something to work with.

That would probably mean that the only problem is that 105 years have past with no one opening their eyes.

The earth's axis moved 6 inches which is attributed to the force of the quake. However, I believe in the 2012 effect, eg earth's axis aligned with Galactic Plane -- epoch 1999 actually, which in turn affects the axis, -- the Axis is the CAUSE of the quake, not a consequent

Interestingly this new moon chart has the New Moon opp Saturn exactly aligned with the Ic/Mc axis at the epicenter of that devastating earthquake (38N20 142E22).

And even more interesting are the Aries Ingress and following lunations charts cast for Wasington DC. Some unpleasant impending surprise ?
