Lost Honda Keys

1
The question is, Where is the key to my Honda Fit? Only the dealership can replace them which means a few hundred dollars to tow the car there! I was getting ready to take my daughter to school, grabbed what I thought was the keys...went to get her backpack, looked down at my hand and BLAM. No key, just the keychain. My fianc'e drove it the night before. Did he lose it on the way inside the house? Or did he still have it in his pocket that morning when he went to work and lost it there? (construction site)? Or did it break off in the house while I was getting ready my daughter for school? I cant drive until we get a few hundred dollars or find it. I have looked HARD through this whole house 3 times. So has he. So, here is the chart. (Aprl. 13, 2011 at 3:21 PM Central Daylight Savings Time, Washington IL, 40N42'13'' 89W 24' 26'')
I am mercury, he is Jupiter, and the keys are Venus.
So venus is angular and dignified by exaltation, that is good. MaYBE we will find it?
arguments for recovery...
Application of moon to its own dispositor (also in mutual reception) and lat. conj (paralell declination),
North Node (dragon head) inhabits the 4th,
Moon applying trine to NN. (says moon applying to a fortune (in which they include north node in examples) means it is being kept safe by an honest person)
POF applying trine to ASC in 0 dgr 13 min.
2nd ruler (Venus) is angular.

ok now arguments against finding it:

Moon is cadent,
Fortuna is disposited by Saturn,
Saturn is in the second house (which could indicate damge) except note Saturn is exalted AND in mutual reception with second ruler (venus) the key's significator,
Moon, and significator (venus) seperating from own dispositors,

my sig, mercury and venus are under 30 dgrs apart, which lilly says suggests the missing item is at home or somewhere near. Likewise with venus and my fiance's sig, jupiter.
It says it being in the 7th it is in the partner's property. (we live together though...but his truck? I think he looked there though)
Description of locations for Pisces :
Bathroom, kitchen, near wells and pumps, all damp places, rivers, fishponds.
Venus: Play rooms, places of enjoyment, clothes, wardrobes, beds, draperies, near women's things, fountains.

So, I just went and looked in the bathroom, in the tub of curling irons, and lotions and soaps and makeup and all that....not there. Any other ideas out there where to look? I've looked soo many places.

Im a little confused on that one, because you said mercury the ruler of my second....but libra is on the cusp of the second. Unless you are using a different house system (Ill be honest I didnt adjust the house system on the chart I made on astro.com , I was actually working with a chart on my kepler softwear using alchabitius)
We usually keep the keys on the kitchen counter right next to the stove/oven, but he already moved the oven all the way out from the wall to look behind it. If we do find it, and I hope we do, I will post the results...or if we end up towing it, that is kind of a result too. But any other ideas out there? oh, and I see my mistake on the sun/moon aspect. Yet, I still restate...they are paralell to each other. Someone much more learned than me, the other day, was telling me his opinion that parallel conjunction is even stronger than long conj.

do you see more indications of finding it or of not? I thought I saw more of finding it, but then once the moon seperating from sun instead of applying, I think the indications break even now, but Im not wholly sure. My gut is that Im not going to find it.....its prolly on the construction site, or went in the garbage, or just somewhere weird.

if using this house system that I put on the astro.com chart, it has the 1st and 2nd house cusp on same sign. Is that intercepted? And if so, what does that signify? Ive always been fuzzy on the concept of intercepted.
Also...Ive always had confusion about the issue of, if the querant and quesited share the same significator. Does that in itself mean anything? And either way, how do you go about working with that?

I do not have enough experience to really draw a conclusion ? but here are my thoughts which may be of some use

Mercury rules both the 1st and 2nd therefore is the significator for both the querent and the keys (quesited) ? which seems appropriate for lost car keys.

Mercury is retrograde in Aries/8th ? in its own term but in a succedent house and combust

Aries makes me think - hot, immediate, metal ? so teamed with Mercury could imply speed - hasty action, with the 8th being hidden, loss and separation. So perhaps suggesting the keys got lost due someone being in a hurry perhaps careless ? the keys may have got caught up, broke off and got separated from the chain

Saturn retrograde is in the 2nd, suggesting a delay ? damage

The Moon is the co-significator ? it is cadent, peregrine & void of course in Leo & 12th with the 12th also suggesting bad luck or that it is hidden from sight,

It has just separated from a trine to the Sun

The 4th cusp is Scorpio ruled by Mars in dignity in Aries/8th cjn Mercury. The cusp is at 29deg so very late, which I feel is significant, but not sure how.

Scorpio is wet, dark, hidden, underground, sewers, garbage

Both Significators appear weak, and on the face of it that does not bode well for the keys being found ? or at the very least they will be hard to find. With the 8th/12th involvement they will not be anywhere obvious.

However the Moon will next trine North Node which suggests a gain and Mercury will cjn Mars (ruler of 4th ) before it opposes Saturn. So perhaps all is not lost

Hi,isimagdalenne!

I drew the chart using Regiomontanus house system because it is commonly used in horary astrology!
Regiomontanus puts the 2nd cusp inside the rulership of Mercury which, as someone already pointed out, describes the lost object well enough!
Besides the ruler of the 2nd (property of the Querent), you also have the Moon- the natural significator of all things lost.

The interception happens when a sign is 'trapped' inside a single house i.e. when the beginning of the house (the cusp) is placed in the preceding sign whilst the end of the house 8the next cusp) is placed in the succeding sign.
Had we found the cusp of the 4th inside Sagittarius in this chart, we would have considered Scorpio intercepted.
Cheers!

There is other way around.

First, Moon is not void of course:
The phrase 'applying to aspect', that is, applying to the perfect or exact aspect, is often misused to mean moving towards another planet by aspect, even though they have yet to make contact through their orbs. Claudius Dariot, much respected by 17th century astrologers, writing in the 16th century says this:

The Application happeneth when as the Circles or beames of the Planettes come to joyne togeather by a corporall Coniunction, or by aspecte of the one halfe of their Deamiters.

The further importance of using this phrase correctly will be demonstrated below in the explanation of the void of course condition.

Application shows the possibility of an event, therefore the two planets capable of bringing this about need to have some relationship - they have to be in contact through their orbs.

After perfection, that is 17' of arc after exactitude, separation begins. It ends when the planets have no further contact through their orbs. In fact, to use the word 'orb' like this is incorrect. The orb is the overall distance of the planet's influence, on a chart we look at this in two dimensions and see part of the orb in front of the planet and part behind. Those parts are halves of the overall orb and known as the moeities.

Void of Course

So, in order to be able to say that a planet is either applying to or separating from another, the moieties of both must be in contact. When there is no such contact the planet is void of course. Referring again to Dariot: ...voyd or without course is when a planet doth not apply to any other during the time that he tarrieth in that signe and then he is saide to have his course and motion voyd.

For example, Saturn is at 7? Pisces, the Moon is at 8? Gemini and Mercury is at 27? Libra. So the Moon has just separated from Saturn (Moon's moiety: about 6?. Saturn's moiety: about 4?. Joint moieties: about 10?.) The Moon's next major aspect - minor aspects cannot prevent a planet from being void of course - is a trine with Mercury. To see if this is actually an application the two moieties are added together. The Moon's moiety is about 6? and Mercury's moiety is 3?, so when they are about 9? apart application will begin. In this example they are about 19? apart and so there is no application; the Moon is void of course, it applies to no other planet from its present position.

As far as interpretation is concerned, the void of course Moon is often taken to mean that nothing will happen in regard to the matter under investigation. This is much different to the answer that might have been given had the trine to Mercury been taken into consideration. For example, suppose the question were one of marriage and Mercury represented the person enquired after; the Moon moving to trine Mercury might be taken to mean that the marriage would go ahead. Whereas accepting the Moon correctly as void of course would indicate that the marriage would not go ahead. The vast difference in the outcome demonstrates how useful horary can be for proving or disproving an astrological technique.

The Moon is within 12 or 13 minutes of arc in trine with the Sun. So, the Moon is not void of course.

Second, Saturn is the significator of the keys. Why? Because Saturn is the ruler of 2nd House in two ways: being there makes him an accidental significator and being almuten of Alcabitius 2nd House makes him an essential ruler of this House.

Mercury signifies the querent and the Moon - the overall situation.

Mercury is applying by opposition to Saturn, meaning the querent will find the quesited, albeit there are more than two delays (both significators are Rx and the Horizon's axis is in double Signs, which would mean something may happen twice).

The Moon in fixed Sign means the situation will stay like this for a while and the matter will be solved in a happy ending (she's in the House of Sun and trines him, so there is reception).
