What an incredible piece of work!

I did some searching on the OI's history blog the other day and found that they started the dictionary on 1st October 1921, although no time was given.... on that date there was a solar eclipse in Libra, and Jupiter was still conjoining Saturn (although across a sign boundary -- Virgo to Libra). Venus and Mars were conjoining too (in Virgo). Add Mercury in Scorpio and, well, what a day to start such a thing!

The work on the CAD began October 1, 1921 in the basement of the old Haskell Oriental Museum of the University of Chicago
