Loveeee 1 by montpellier Helllloooooo The question asked: Will he, fall in love with her? Background, the couple have known each other at work for sometime, she would like to know if he will fall in love with her. London 30/5/05 1.59pm She is asking the question: Her significator mercury is in its own sign however its combust the sun which weakens her a bit, theres somthing she cant see. the quested is retrograde, reluctance to make a commitment, reluctance to make feelings known? Jupiter (him) in his retrograde motion is moving toward mercury by trine, she is moving towards him also. The moon is in the 6th house, suggesting that this is a routine, day to day matter (work). Conjunct Uranus = sudden or shocking The fact that the sun, natual ruler of men is in the 9th (his ruling house) and she (mercury) is conjunct the sun could suggest that she is scared of something? Him perhaps? Venus is conjunct the MC, relevance to the question-love at work. Part of fortune is conjunct Venus in the 10th. I would say, yes, he will, but there will be difficulties. Because the moon and sun are square and venus is opposite Pluto. Critique please! Quote Mon May 30, 2005 3:23 pm
2 by Tom Who or what is Saturn in this chart? I'd ask the querent before proceeding. Notice, Jupiter (quesited) is in mutual reception by exaltation with Saturn. THe Moon, querent, is the domicile ruler of Saturn. Mercury, querent, is in the triplicity of Saturn and conjuncts Saturn by antiscion. Saturn rules the intercepted Capricorn (querent's 4th quesited's 10th) and is in the radical 10th or turned 4th. Saturn also rules the radical 5th or turned 11th. It seems as though he is a player involved with both querent and quesited, and precise knowledge of who he is may help unravel this. I would not consider Mercury to be combust since he is in rulership; others may disagree. Mercury and Jupiter are mutually applying, but Jupiter only has dignity by face in Mercury's position, and Mercury has no dignity at all in Jupiter's, so my hunch is they may get together, but not for long. She has an emotional attachment to him (Moon in Pisces), but her other planets, Mercury and Venus, both in Gemini, indicate self interest more than sacrifice. The Sun, quesited as macho man, does have a strong interest in her. I'd really like to know more about Saturn, though. Tom Quote Tue May 31, 2005 12:28 am

4 by montpellier hi tom, he is quested, she is querant, I dont know who saturn could be? She did not mention that there could be anyone else? Could saturn represent the work place or do you think its a person? Quote Tue May 31, 2005 7:38 am
perfection 5 by yuzuru Hello Montpelier. A trine between the signficators is everything one wishes for an relationship chart ! But I too don?t know if this will bring perfection. 1) Both her significators moon and mercury are cadent. She doesn?t intend to do anything serious about it. 2) Mercury is in her own sign, is very amusing a person asking about someone she clearly doesn?t intend to fight for. It seems to me her real worry in life is the job, as both significators are the same for her and the job. 3) for the other side, he seems to be interested in her, and will make a move soon. 4) Something stressfull is going to occur real soon with her, moon conjunct uranus in pisces, but I don?t know what kind of tsunami it will bring. 5) There are a lot of planets in the angles ! Pluto, Venus and Mars ! Venus is protective in the radical MC, but Pluto and Mars are aspecting the turned ASC and MC of the quesited. With this two malefics in the angles, I wouldn?t be surprised if something real bad happened to him ! 6) Mars is lord of 8th. I don?t think he will die, but this can mean loss... Mars is also lord of turned 9th, repeating the theme we saw earlier (sun and mercury in the radical 9th) 7) This makes me think about higher studies, religion issues or voyages. I think that he maybe get fired and will move away. Don?t know for sure, because Saturn, his work, is trining mars. Jupiter is also antiscion mars, so I am probably reall off base :-) For example venus is conjunct part of marriage and sun is conjunct aldebaran ! well hope it doesnt confuse you even more, hehehe Y Quote Tue May 31, 2005 9:27 am
6 by Tom Saturn could simply represent work. I'd ask her about it. Does Saturn in Cancer describe their work or jobs at all? Is their boss or supervisor somehow involved in it? An older person? Are they both working on the same project? I'd try to get an answer, and if nothing comes to mind, then we might just leave it as the fact they both work in the same place or at the same job. 7 by montpellier Hi I have spoken to her and I think Saturn represents their work place as she cant think of who saturn is (she has no one else in her life). Does this look like a promising chart, does it give a resounding yes to the original question? I also noticed that if you turn the chart, venus falls on his ic-is this a good sign? Also, what is the meaning of a sun squared moon. Thanks Quote Wed Jun 01, 2005 7:35 am
8 by Tom All right we'll ignore Saturn based on her statements. Aspects are a bit overrated in the first place and in particular in horary. It is true that without aspect nothing is likely to happen, but it does not follow that an aspect virtually guarantees that something will happen. We need reception. There is some reception between the various significators, and there is some here, but I doubt it is enough to sustain the relationship. Querent is Mercury in Gemini, the Moon in Pisces, and Venus in Gemini. Querent is signified by Jupiter in Libra and the Sun in Gemini. Lords one and seven are the querent/quesited as personality. The Moon is the querent as emotional being, Venus is querent as woman or feminine being. The Sun is quesited as macho man. Mercury is in his own sign indicating a good level of self interest. Venus, querent as woman is also in Gemini indicating the same thing. The Moon is in Pisces and shows querent's interest in the quesited at an emotional level. Quesited is interested in querent as woman (Jupiter in Libra) and even as macho man he has an interest in Mercury (Sun in Gemini). The trine between Mercury and Jupiter indicate they will get together, but will it last? Querent is in the detriment of Jupiter, as is Venus. This does not portend well for the future of any relationship. She may be interested in him now, but it is unlikely to last. He does seem to have an interest in her, however, so they are likely to at least begin a relationship. If Mercury and Venus were in signs other than the detriment of Jupiter, I might be tempted to believe this would prove a lasting relationship, but the detriment of two ofher planets seems like a lot to overcome. The Moon - Sun square might be of more relevance if it were applying, but since it is separating, it indicates something that has recently happened, not something that will happen. 9 by Sue I would not consider Mercury to be combust since he is in rulership; Tom, I am curious as to your reasoning for this. Is it something you have read or is it just that it makes sense to you? Quote Wed Jun 01, 2005 10:19 pm
10 by Tom Hi Sue, Tom, I am curious as to your reasoning for this. Is it something you have read or is it just that it makes sense to you? I've not yet advanced to the point where I start making up my own rules. I leave that to intermediate moderns That being said, it did a least occur to me that a planet in rulership or exaltation might not be quite the same when close to the Sun as it is when not in dignity, so I asked John Frawley. John told me that this particular topic is one of great debate among authorities, some saying the planet was combust, others saying it behaved more like it was in mutual reception with the Sun. He did not cite an authority on either side of the issue. I took his word for it because John doesn't make things up. He added that his own practice seemed to confirm the mutual reception idea. During my natal studies with John we studied William Lilly's chart or at least the one given to us by Gadbury. In that chart Venus is in Taurus 50 minutes from an exact conjunction with the Sun. In that lesson John noted that Lilly's Venus was not burned up by combustion but rather it was hidden. In John's words his heart of gold was concealed from the rest of the world. When I re-read that I laughed since I am reading Lilly's autobiography and there is a story in there where he finds a woman who owed money or something and Lilly turned her over to the authorities. She was sentenced to be whipped and serve one year in prison. A few sentences later he says something like "Another good thing I did. ..." Yes this is truly a hidden heart of gold. Anyway I adhere to the same rule in horary, i.e. a planet in great dignity is not combust. The reason I said that I would not consider it combust was not an allusion to an opinion I'd formed unilaterally, but rather a tacit acknowledgement that there are authorities who disagree with this position. But as I said, it does make sense to me. Tom Quote Wed Jun 01, 2005 11:40 pm

While this may be tangential, I've found, while using the old-school, Bonatti-style length of life approximation with the Hyleg and Alcocoden, that the Alcocoden while combust is less afflicted when it is in major dignity. The Sun only takes a third of his minor years, which is the "well-behaved" malefic subtraction of years in Bonatti's method. As an example, Mercury being Alcocoden in Virgo combust the Sun also in Virgo. Admittedly I haven't done enough of these that I can say this categorically.
