Have cast a chart for a friend regarding specifically whether a current relationship will evolve into marriage (not just a long term relationship). The question was "Will there be a marriage between P1 and P2 - yes or no". I'm learning here - previous charts on other matters have been accurate when I read them in the most simplistic manner. But this posed some things that just seemed interesting to me.

The chart was cast for 30May05 at 3:52PM (EST - which I believe is 7:52PM GMT) at 79.49W and 34.12N

Libra is rising at 26 degrees. Her significator is Venus and the Moon. 7th house is Aries making his significator Mars and the Sun.

Now. The only aspects between Venus and Mars is a separating square. The Moon and Sun are also seperating from a square. However the Moon and Mars are applying to a conjunction.

Lily specifically says that if the Moon applies to the 7th ruler the querant shall have his/her desire though with many petitions,solicitations and prayers. So based on that it would seem that the answer is yes there will be a marriage BUT it won't be easily come by.

Another thing I noticed just in reference to what has been happening. The earlier square of Mars and Venus occured 23May in Pisces. The later square of Moon and Sun occurred 30May in Gemini. During this precise period there were conflicts - earlier just a matter of hurt feelings and later escalated into verbal communication and finally a confrontation in the past couple of days. The chart seems to echo the conflict between them accurately.

The coming conjunction is actually 31May in Pisces. I hardly think there's a marriage in the offing by tomorrow though!

I also see Mars in the 5th house which would indicate he is perhaps considering this a relationship that he does not want to commit to right now. While Venus in the 9th house indicates her desire to formalize the relationship. This is using several sources so please correct me if I'm too far off.

I know this is pretty simplistic of an interpretation and I'm really looking to see if I'm looking in the right direction on it.

I would like to know why you put the 9th as the "indicator of her desire to formalize the relationship". I didn?t know any associations like that. Is this a relationship with churches ?

I have several books that I have been using in addition to Lily's - Anthony Louis states that the 9th is the house of formalizing and legalizing matters (and does specifically mention wedding ceremonies). I suppose conjectured from it's correspondence with clergy, attorneys, etc? Would this be too much of a stretch?

In re-reading this I did want to clarify I'm not the one asking about them for my own understanding....she asked the question and asked for the chart to be cast. If that made better sense I know that can affect which significators we're using.

First of all, my ASC was different 13Libra58, using the data you gave me... my moon was in 13Pis51, could you confirm ?

Signals for an encounter:
Moon conjunct mars (him). Mars is in venus exaltation ( I will wait for Sue and Tom to tell me if this means he puts her in a pedestal or vice versa) Mars is antiscion Jupiter (who in the ASC cusp.) Venus is in mars terms. moon is in mars triplicity. Mars is close to the ASc in declination.

Signals for a "no"
South node in the first house. No direct aspect between the significators, no translation or coletion of light. They are both cadent (in my chart, mars is in the 6th house, not in the 5th), so haven?t the strenght to perform.
I believe the discussions came from moon conjunct Uranus.

The moon, besides co-ruler, is going to tranlate mars to venus, but before will apply to Saturn, "end of affairs", ruler of the 4th. Mars is also applying to saturn, so I guess the things are cooling down for now and maybe the marriage subject will be postponed for a little while.

The ASC is conjunct fixed star Algorab, the crow. In http://www.winshop.com.au/annew/Algorab.html it says that

I cast the chart for 3:52pm EST (we are southeast coast USA) - we are currently on Daylight Savings Time as well. Could be that isn't accounted for or maybe I didn't correctly adjust to GMT when giving the times? My moon is 14Pisces25 and the ASC 26Libra31.

If I goofed I need to fix it don't I It does change some things....i.e. Mars is in my 5th house, South Node in 12th house, etc.

I do note one thing that you mention that stands out....

This has happened...apparently this was the weekend for this as you'll see from another post of mine After the last confrontation the emotions are running high on both parts but it has definitely 'cooled off' and could be construed as ended.


And on Algorab:

This is a fitting enough description of how he handles things - that excuse looks to be safer remark. Also perhaps indicates the delay in this matter caused by 'wrong handling' of matters as neither handled this well.
