Two Moons, or lunar Dogs

A rare phenomena was captured by Thomas Sannes, Oslo, just after midnight to Monday, 12. September. A strong full Moon was the cause of a lunar 'dog' that caused another faint 'moon' to appear to the right of the 'REAL' Moon. And what more - it was full of the colors of the rainbow.

'The phenomena lasted for about 10-15 minutes and the colors were very clear,' tells Thomas Sannes. For a bi-moon to form it requires a very light strong Moon, and then the bi-moon is created when the moonlight is reflected in small ice-crystals 6000-8000m up into the atmosphere. The bi-moon or 'dog' is generally white, and very rarely will it take the colors of a rainbow, according to meteorologist Roar Inge Hansen.

Dagbladet have another photo on net that shows the full Moon in the sky in relation to the rainbow colored 'Dog'. Look here: (Link) I cast a chart for 15 minutes past midnight, which puts the Moon in the 10th house in dual Pisces at 13PI38. Chiron, is culiminating on the Midheaven at 3 Pisces - and represents a rainbow or 'bridge between worlds'. Mercury is 4 Virgo and opposite Chrion on the lower Midheaven.

'The Eye'
An 'Eye in the Sky' (- Alan Parsons Project, 1982) was observed from Bergen at about 21hrs on December 1. 2009. It lasted for about half an hour. (Link). This is interesting from an astrological perspective. What does it mean? The phenomena occurrs about 10 hours ahead of the full Moon and the Moon is in the exaltation degree of the her Northern Nodes. The exaltation degree of the Sun would be in the South at 19 Aries and Mars would be rising in the Ascendant in the sign of Leo.

Hi, I'm new here. Been lurking around skyscript.co.uk for years, but only recently wanted to participate in the forums. Hope you don't mind me using this thread to start posting in.

Anyway, that later picture reminds me of the Dec 2010 Total Lunar Eclipse, complete with the "ring" extending around what seemed half the sky and the moon dead overhead. Never seen anything like it before in my life and doubt I ever will again.
