I never read this in any place, but if you look and see that one planet is the hyleg the first thing ( in my experience) that you have to do is : hesitate and act as a devil attorney against yourself.
We have to be flexible and to follow the rules according to the book,closing our eyes to obvious testimonies against our first idea is not a good policy..

You?re right that Mars would not be the Alchocodem because it was in the 12th house, not aspecting the Sun. Also, he would not be able of be Hyleg because he is cadent.
By the book ( at least according to many authorities) the Sun or the Moon would be able to be Hyleg even not having an Alchocoden.
Let?s pick the Sun.
Okay, this native will live 120 years, he will be a supercentenarian. But observing this chart we can see many problematic things against life. The ASC has the meaning of life and his ruler is cadent in the 12th: the lord of life is disposed by a malefic, lord of death, in a bad house. Plus, even having a good Sun and Moon the native has the malefics configurated to houses against life. Even the lord of 7th, that Abu Ali considers very important as a killig planet , is in the 12th opposing Saturn.
I would not give much credit to the Sun giving all his 120 years.
Saturn in the 6th with the Node points to cronic illnesses...3 planets in the 12th are pointing to restrictions and to things behind close doors. All the chart has many flags against life, so I would dismiss the Sun as Hyleg because he gives too many years.
The only life spam theory able to explain the native short life is Masha?allah, when he will use the POF as Hyleg and Saturn as Alchocodem. All this IF the chart is the real one. Perhaps we are discussing for the sake of discussion itself.
