14 by Tom I look at this stuff and I read this stuff and it sails over my head. I mean regardless of whether Einstein was right or wrong, if physics has to change or doesn't, I still have to go to work in order to survive financially, and if it doesn't make my wine or beer taste better or worse, just how important can this be? But, after reading this: http://www.nationalreview.com/articles/ ... rauthammer I had a thought: is there a way, valid or not, that we can use this information to drive astrology skeptics up a wall? Just curious. Quote Fri Oct 07, 2011 8:11 pm

I always found it fascinating that when looking through the ephemeris, events of the future were already lay there. And as we travel through time, these events that are lay ahead of us cast their shadow backwards in time into the present. Before the events themselves have in fact occurred. So time is an illusion. Or the future can be fortold or described before you actually get there. Would this suggest that knowledge moves faster than light? http://www.astronor.com Quote Fri Oct 07, 2011 8:41 pm

Or it implies that time exists all at once (described crudely) and that it is only our own perception which gives it its apparent linear nature. Quote Sat Oct 08, 2011 12:31 am
17 by SGFoxe Yeah Andrew -- I think you get me ... though according to my terrestial axis of rotation theory of time, cannot reverse time's flow contingent as it is upon so many cycles. Does the neutrino have mass? I'm not quite so anxious to spin old albert in his grave ... tho' his theory rests on time as a constant, which it is not, but is geocentric and operates in a fashion somewhat 'parallel' to gravity (eg) in an inverse square manner the farther from earth the more time slows down -- eg removed from the cycles that define terrestial time (yeat's falcon cannot hear the falconer) and may be 'captured' into another temporal force field. & light, being bendable, may still be travelling at limit, since the neutrino, theoretically for the sake of argument, travels in a straight line and not in a curved path, could be traveling below limit even tho it seems to arrive 60 nano seconds before I think the terrestial axis of rotation that divinity called the demiurgos, the yaldaboath of the gnostics There's a built in theory of astrology therein -- earth's precessional wobble caused by g-forces of sun & moon on liquid center -- also, concurrent now, the tropical to galactic passage has its geological effect in the 12+K cycle of ice ages -- has an obvious effect on terrestial axis/core ... and then there is something of a sub-wobble, I call it a toddle (being from Chicago) but it is called the Chandler Wobble (which always makes me think of Chandler Bing on the reruns of Friends)-- subcycles to the 26K precessional cycles of 3 & 7 year epicycles that I posit are the effect of the other members orbiting the sun -- eg the interactions of the electron shell. The total vector of the orbiting elements, retro cycles &c would affect a temporo (geo)centric earth much in the fashon of the Ptolemaic epicycles. There's a discipline called chronobiology -- they wanted to call is cosmobiology but the astrogolers lay claim to that first -- tracking clock genes -- the most common of which -- evolved 700 million years ago -- differentiates between the diurnal & nocturnal -- then there are those sensitive to sun's declination in avian migratory cycles. They haven't as yet found the link between the human menstrual cycle & the lunar cycle. Yet. They are probably not looking in the right place. I'd bet venus and mars passages of some sort have something to do with triggering adolescence & its hormones. Quote Mon Oct 10, 2011 6:47 pm
Dreams and Time 18 by Dave I know it's not astrology, but.... It is pertinent to the idea of Time (the future) already existing, of our sense of time being illusory because all of time already exists. In November 1972 I had a very vivid dream, highly detailed. The same dream without modification came four times in two weeks. It was burned into my memory. Six months later, in May 1973, I took a long trip, on a bus. Without going into detail, this highly detailed dream "replayed" in reality. It was not a sense of deja vu but what I will call "instant replay." The dream played out before I realized it was happening. People involved, the scene where it played out, the actions, words...in exact detail. And after many years of thinking on that dream from time to time, the only thing that made (and makes) sense to me is that "time, the future, already exists and we come to it..." Somehow my mind jumped the chasm of time that separates the future and saw what was otherwise an insignificant event in startling detail. If the future did not already exist, could astrology predict it? Quote Thu Nov 03, 2011 7:56 am
19 by Seiko Does the future already exist? You make a chart and you see something bad or something good -- and it happens. Is it because the situation 'clicked' with the chart, or because the chart 'clicked' with the situation? Or both just 'clicked' and that's it? No one can answer that. If you make a chart about moving to another town and it is bad so you don't move. You did not move because of the celestial warning or was it written in the stars that you will not move? And it actually IS written in the stars -- the chart is negative and you didn't go. Or you moved despite everything -- and it sucks for you in the new city, again, because the chart is negative. The chart works whatever you do. You can't separate the situation and the stars -- so it is impossible to tell whether the future exists or it creates itself step by step. If there is no mass, there is no time. If there is no time, there is no mass. (According to the theory of the relativity). Speaking of which, if the scientists will prove this faster than light thing experimentally and it's gonna be official, then we'll talk about it. And not just us but the whole world. Right now it's nothing. Quote Thu Nov 03, 2011 11:32 am

These last two posts of Dave and Seiko are really quite profound. I couldn't but agree with Dave regarding the deja vu. It is there. There is something beyond our limited everyday concept of time and reality, and I would have several practical examples on hand where the Spirit recognised something years in advance and recorded the occasion in such a manner that it may become obvious further down the line. There are also incidences of prediction so spectacular that it would almost evade from reason to believe the events weren't already there. However, this sense of predestination or prognosis could be navigated on so many different levels, even if it only came down to an issue of placement. I do believe in the importance of Wisdom. Astrology is like a game of chess; the rules, possible moves and outlines of the board are all there from the start of the game - but awareness has the potential of raising the quality and outfall of the game. If events can be negotiated or wisely traded in the chart of an individual, I suppose the question is what actually is 'moved' and whether it will change the destiny of a nation, save the planet or the outfall of the Universe. Interesting how scientists are forced to think through the laws and mechanics of time, either through quantum physics or now, this perculiar observation of myon-neutrons. In the end it might be decided that the Universe is tied together in a different way than scientists previously thought - and this may be advantageous to the concepts of Astrology. http://www.astronor.com Quote Sun Nov 06, 2011 11:10 am
22 by Andrew Bevan New tests do, according to an article published in Aftenposten on Friday Nov.18, support the previous observations of subatomic particles moving faster than light. The particles, neutrinos, are small particles at about the size of electrons but without electronical charge - thus neutrals. I suppose the question many people are asking themselves is what these scouts are doing here ahead of light and how far do they stretch? In my philosophy I teach that time moves in circles like the ripples from a pebble cast in a pond, but I also teach that events circle around a moment, which means that the now summons a predesposition of both past and future. I will have to think out whether these new discoveries in any way supports these concepts. But do particles moving faster than light mean the same thing as events moving ahead of time, or is it some sort of looking into the future? Yet if time is an dimension or mere illusion, then maybe these particles are merely following a thread that could be observed from above? The neutrals among planets is definately Mercury. We might think through whether this could have any relevance to the matter in discussion? 23 by handn I wish I had something astrological to say about it....... but I'm afraid I haven't. I hesitate to say anything at all about this because it has people all over the world excited, and I don't want to put a dampener on any discussion topic because they're all worthy of exploration and consideration, and regardless of that I'll probably regret saying this anyway, but........ I thought the scientists' original ideas about time, and light, and the linkage of time and light, were silly..... Yes, I know, who am I to say such a thing? I know some scientists worship Einstein and/or his theory and I know some scientists like to wax lyrical about the nature of time (there's a well-known British one whose name I won't mention), but they always seemed to me to be over-egging the pudding, and then getting themselves over-wrought about it all. Reality hasn't changed, only (silly?) scientific theories are being dropped, as they always are eventually. My main point (if I have one worth listening to, and I probably haven't on this topic, but I'm afraid it's Sunday morning and I'm protesting about having to go to the supermarket because of my own bad planning) is that scientists need to calm down and be more humble when bringing their favourite theories into society, then they wouldn't need to get over-excited when they turn out to be wrong which is all that's happened, IMO, but they're trying to spin it as some kind of break-through or exciting development, which I don't think it is -- they've just been wrong all along about time and light, IMO. I don't think anyone understands very much about the how the universe and everything in it works. I think until we've been around it to find out how it works all over the place, we should hold off being so attached to our theories, even and perhaps especially when we think we've got proof. It is like the case where the scientists has said that had discovered a 'new' Galaxy. The Galaxy has been there ALL the time. The only thing that has changed and moved is inside us! As an astrologer I find it important to remind that it is Man it all is about. And rather than get lost in the Universe, I find it safe to return to the concept that astrology defines something going on within. http://www.astronor.com Quote Sun Nov 20, 2011 11:56 am
