same significator, moon as co-significator, job question 1 by vegas1 Hi All, For my own education, I'd like to present my latest horary attempt. I am a self-employed consultant, currently searching for my next assignment, and came across 2 possibilities: Job A pays a little more, but is far out of state which means extra travel expenses for me, and travelling is always a hassle. Job B is near home but pays a little less. I like job B more but it will be next week before I can expect any progress, plus it seems better in terms of the work. I was pressed to decide whether to pursue job A. So I asked a horary question: Is job A good for me? 8 July 2005, 10:48 am daylight time, Newport Beach 117w56 33n37 http://www.astro.com/cgi/chart.cgi?nhor ... gm=a1&ast= ASC is 18vir02, ruled by Mercury, currently at 12leo54, in it's terms there. It's a job, 10th house question, 16gem56, also ruled by Mercury. So I assign Mercury to be job A, and assign the Moon to be my significator, at 11leo11. The moon will conjunct Mercury in 1 degree or so, so the answer is yes, may come within a day or so. I know these 2 significators will conjunct anyway, but am I correct in assigning the significators? since it may means I am going to the job, or the job coming to me. Also Mercury seems a little stronger here. I also notice the Moon Mercury will square Mars the ruler of the 3rd house of short trips. Hard work travelling perhaps? also confirming that I have to pay my own way? They also sextile Jupiter and Parts Fortuna on the cusp of the 2nd house, good money indication perhaps? Then, end-of-matter 4th house from 10th is the 1st, ruler Venus seems well placed, plus good-luck Jupiter is in the 1st house. All good indications, so it seems? Finally, I did not want to ask "should I choose job A or job B?" as a horary question, so I asked "is job A good for me ?". A few minutes later, I asked "what about job B, is it good for me?", I then realize that the horary chart would almost be the same. So is the 2nd question even valid? Would appreciate all comments. 2 by vegas1 A quick update. Actually I was wondering about Venus in this chart and who she represent, since before the Moon comes to a conjunction with Mercury, the Moon meets Venus first. I did not read it as a bad sign, or an obstruction. Anyway, I had a phone interview from a lady from job B this afternoon. It went well and she's arranging another interview for Monday. May be she is represented by Venus here? Quote Fri Jul 08, 2005 11:08 pm
Venus 3 by voyagergirl Yes, I would say venus represents the woman you spoke with. She is a positive intervening force or a person who acts in your favor regarding the job. Quote Sat Jul 09, 2005 6:41 pm

7 by vegas1 An update to complete the topic: I did not get job A which was the subject of the original horary question. Due to a series of phone miscommunications, I lost interest and withdrew from consideration, and devote my time and effort in pursuing other opportunities. So I was wrong in my horary analysis. I need to take a look at Mercury and Mars the ruler of the 3rd house of communications. Also I realized that the question I asked was "is job A good for me" and not "will I get job A", so may be it was a good opportunity. Quote Fri Jul 15, 2005 6:43 pm
