Rising sign is 12 degrees Sag. MC is 20 degrees Leo. Moon at 8 degrees Sag (very close to Asc). Mercury/Venus conjunction on the MC. Jupiter is querent's significator and ALSO rules the 5th House (Pisces on cusp of 5th). Jupiter placed in 11th House. Sun on 9th House cusp.

How would other practitioners approach such a chart? Would you give more emphasis to the 10th House or the 5th House as the signifactor of the quesited i.e. the music/recording? So would the ruler of the 10th or 5th be more important?

This person is not really a "career musician." It's a bit hard, because the music is kind of half-way between a hobby and a career project.

My overall feeling about the chart is quite favourable (e.g. Jupiter in the 11th and Venus in Leo in the 10th House). Just about to analyse it a bit further...

You are Ju in 11th house (clubs), your music 5th house Ju too, and your career 10th house, rule Su. Ju is in house of joy, but Su is peregrine considered as in 9 house (pablicher) without aspects. Moon has nice aspects so I'd say you will be satisfied with the fact how the things going. If the recording depend of anothers support you will get it because of nice aspect form Moon and rule of 7th, Mer and Ve in 10th too. But because of bad positione Su that record will not be so important for your career. But you are really creative (Pi on the 5th cups), so, keep the faith!
