Will we last through the year?

I'm new to horary and want to try my hand with this chart. The committed but non-married/non-cohabitating couple are going through the first rough patch and querent has mentioned displeasure with partners drinking and social life. She is wondering if they can get through this upcoming year of change and further commitment (they plan to move in together next year)

Querent is represented by Mercury in Pisces (Rx) in fall in the 7th house and by Jupiter in the 9th. Partner is represented by Jupiter in 9th as well as Venus in 9th. Jupiter is dignified in the 9th, which makes sense as there is a heavy intellectual connection with the couple. I find this favourable, as well as that it ends up with a final depositor of Venus in Taurus in the same house conjoined the exalted moon in Taurus. My novice answer is "yes" this relationship will survive and being that there are so many planets in exalted (Saturn/Moon/Sun) it has the potential to change for the better.

Questions:

I want to understand/interpret that mercury RX in the 7th. Querant is very anxious about the partner and, as with all drink issues, is not sure of the honesty of the partner.

This leads me to Mars RX 12th opposition Neptune in 6th..is that a warning of drink becoming a very prickly issue and duly tied to unforeseen future deception? That uranus in the 7th is worrisome with regard to troubles.

That the ruler of the 1st in the 7th means querent is the more ardent of the two when it is not asking who is the more ardent?
Could it signify that the relationship itself is more important to the querent?

My thanks in advance for all your feedback!

Hi there,

I will give my 2 cents:

The querent is in bad shape (Mercury retrograde in its fall in Pisces) and is thinking about a future partnership/commitment ( that's why she is in the 7th house).
Mercury is in Jupiter's domicile which suggests he is in love with her.
Jupiter also beholds the ascendant with an harmonious trine, which is a good sign.
Another good indicator is that the Moon is exalted in Taurus and her next aspect will be a sextile with the querent, which indicates an opportunity.

Negative indicators - Mercury is moving backwards but I think it will never perfect a sextile with Jupiter. I also dont like the proximity of the Moon with Algol (orb?).

On the overall I think both parties will make an effort and there is an opportunity that the relationship will survive. But hang on for the experts.

Thanks Cecilia!

Interesting the tie-in with Agol and the nature of the worry: alcohol.
It seems that moon is conjoined, by less than a degree, Capulus. I am not well versed in fixed stars, though always interested to learn the impact.

The relationship is a very intense, passionate one and both are political/intellectual sorts.

Regarding "opportunity" a good call: He just asked her to work pt for him writing content, very mercurial.

Wow, one would think there is presently a Mercury Rx going on on this one!

Jennvt, of course Mercury is Rx, and under that even the most adept have trying times in the mental pursuits, unless they are reviewing work and editing. But Jupiter is Not the querant, but the quesited and the significant other of the querant.

How I and possibly others wish that queries would be stated in question form as it might lead to more responses.

Question as I understand: Will I and my boyfriend move in and co-habit under the same roof?

Well Jupiter, the quesited is Not receiving any Traditionalist Ptolemaic aspects yet is in the house of it's Accidental Dignity and as you stated Venus is Jupiter's depositor, so generally that is a No verdict as Jupiter is not aspected, they will Not move in together next year.

I think they will still be courting(5th), it wasn't asked about the 8th, and the 11th house and 7th/relationship will still be going on yet they aren't moving in next year being 2013. I love that Luna sextiling the lord of questions and the querant's lord.
I want to understand/interpret that mercury RX in the 7th.
Cecilia, I believe has done that deleanation very well!
Querant is very anxious about the partner and, as with all drink issues, is not sure of the honesty of the partner.
I would say with all the 9th house interpretations(idealism, freedom loving, independent, jovial, traditionally religious, etc.) fits him and her view of a relationship to a degree and the 7th lord is in the very fixed sign of Taurus, yet unaspected; in other words he is freedom oriented and idealisticaly honest.

But to truly see him we have to rotate the horoscope, putting Jupiter, his lord in his 3rd to answer that question.

And Yes, several questions can be answered at the same time, from the same horary horoscope to my understanding.

However, Traditionalism Does Not use Outers to answer horary querys, in that aspects to the lord of the quesited are not used in regard to Outers.

We hope to hear from you after 2013 is over in that they did not move in together!
