Navamsha Transits 14 by delaforge Therese, I did use Solar Fire to calculate these charts. Neptune conjunct MC occurs whatever ayanamsha I use. Both aspects I found occur in the relevant charts no matter which ayanamsha I?ve used. Here are the details. Lahiri Event Navamsha: Sun 16? Aqu 59? - Birth Chart Navamsha: Venus 18? Aqu 07? KP Event Navamsha: Sun 17? Aqu 51? - Birth Chart Navamsha: Venus 18? Aqu 59? Fagan-Bradley Event Navamsha: Sun 9? Aqu 02? - Birth Chart Navamsha: Venus 10? Aqu 10? Lahiri Event Navamsha: Neptune 21? Sag 26? - Birth Chart Navamsha: MC 22? Sag 39? KP Event Navamsha: Neptune 22? Sag 18? - Birth Chart Navamsha: MC 23? Sag 31? Fagan-Bradley Event Navamsha: Neptune 13? Sag 29? - Birth Chart Navamsha: MC 14? Sag 42? I am perplexed. Quote Tue May 22, 2012 7:23 am
Navamsha Transits 15 by delaforge Varuna, I have the Jagannatha Hora program. I have worked with this program and with Solar Fire on the Navamsha Transit project. I am not ready to branch off and explore Ashtakavargas. I am seriously thinking of going back to an earlier thread on the Navamsha, which I started in the hope of being able to gain practice at interpreting the navamsha. I haven't touched Gore Vidal's navamsha for three days now. I had to move from Jagannatha Hora to Solar Fire because I couldn't find out how to get at the precise navamsha positions for planets in JH. Varuna, if you can tell me how to find precise navamsha positions in JH - signs, degrees, minutes and seconds - I would be very grateful. Melissa Quote Tue May 22, 2012 10:58 am

Navamsha Transits 17 by delaforge Varuna, Thank you. Not only do I now have access to navamsha degree positions but to a host of other things, too, such as Combustion, information on the tithi, etc., etc. This will revolutionize my use of JH!! When you switch the ayanamsha, you are switching the frame of reference, however, when you are comparing an event chart with a natal chart, you are using the same frame of reference for both the natal and the event, therefore the conjunction will occur regardless of the ayanamsha used, unless a planet/point, is on the border of a navamsha pada and then it switches signs That idea was beginning to crystallize in my head as I finished my post to Therese yesterday. I became perplexed because Therese's reply seemed to imply that the similarity of result must be due to errors of calculation. Quote Tue May 22, 2012 7:31 pm

I admit to reading your post quickly, and I replied too quickly before fully understanding what you were saying. Thanks, Varuna, for clearing up the confusion. http://www.snowcrest.net/sunrise/LostZodiac.htm Quote Wed May 23, 2012 12:48 am
