Here is my preparatory work for Friday:

Day Venus, Hour Moon (Regio) - not radical

This chart is disturbing. Haugesund are such a strong home team, yet the chart is not radical. Maybe Leo adds warmth to the Moon, Lady of the Hour, so she shares the moisture and warmth of Jupiter, who is Lord of the ascendant. But then the Moon is in the same sign as Mercury, Lord of the 7th, and this is an obvious testimony for the guests. The planet Uranus at 8AR31 is in an exact (!!) trine to the ascendant and Jupiter is sitting on the descendant at 8GE14.

What we have learnt is that Jupiter in Gemini on the descendant is generous with goals and likes 3-2 scorelines, maybe even 4-2. I am not convinced Sogndal can beat Haugesund at home, but if you want to try something crazy, a 3-2 scoreline at the odds of 24:1 or 2-3 at the price of 50:1 may give some excitement.

The type of radicality suggests the guests, but radicality in itself offers a rather wide time-window, so when comparing charts there must be some details that differenciate games. The Moon in Leo is sextile the MC and could do it for the home team Silkeborg (Slik Castle). Yet, the Sun is inconjunct POF and this could push the result into the deep end. Horsens are 4 places above Silkeborg in the Superliga. The Moon * MC is cast through signs of long ascension - maybe this could be an obstacle?

The question of radicality is disturbing in both these charts, but it is a good opportunity to check the strength of the Moon, LHr, in Leo with the Lord of the 7th and how it peforms. This is prominent in both charts, but does it work the same way? In the Haugesund chart, Jupiter, L1, on the descendant could do something convincing for the home team. I think I'll sleep on the matter...

Comments to the above:

Re. Haugesund's game - you HAVE TO check last weeks game between Lillestrom and Tromso that has so many similar qualities. Lillestrom won this game 4-2, even though by odds it appeared to be a much more evenly balanced match. I think I will go with Haugesund with a 3-2 scoreline as starters. Maybe I get lucky this time without the home team going bananas and pocketing 4!!

Re. the Silkeborg game, I will cast my token on Horsens. LHr with Mercury, L7. Mercury trine the ascendant. POF inconj the Sun. The Moon casts her aspect to the MC through signs of long ascension. Testimonies appear to favour the guests, but we're gonna find out anyway!

It is important to track what prevented this match getting off the ground!!

The comparison is the game between Copenhagen and Midtjylland on July 15. Saturn was exact on the MC also in this chart. Mars, LHr, is in the same sign as Saturn, exalted on the MC. Go for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's boys and favour with Molde!

The chart is radical by triplicity. Jupiter has control neither on the 1st nor the 7th. Mars, L1, and Venus, L7, are going nowhere - the draw would be soo cool!

Molde - Viking 1-2
FC Midtjylland - FC Nordsjaelland 3-1

I missed completely, although I had a 2-1 feeling for Midtjylland. Will have to sort it out tomorrow, but today ending in the red.

Molde - Viking 1-2
First, the Day of Saturn and Hour of Mars is malefic - I will note that, because Viking were true underdogs. But the detail I missed was Mars, LHr, sextile Mercury, L7.

FC Midtjylland - FC Nordsjaelland 3-1
Ih this chart Mars is L1 and Mercury is L10 and also dispositor of the Lord of the Hour. Mars is elevated above Jupiter, who is Lord of Hour. Jupiter in the same sign as Venus, L7, allows Nordsjaelland to score but not win. The sextile between Mars and Mercury through signs of long ascension does not convert to a square in this game - maybe because significaators are above the horizon.

The Moon is VOC, but has a contract with Neptune by opposition in the next sign as Neptune is in the first 3 degrees of Pisces. This could cause some sort of 'double destortion'. First, running wild and then a state of exposiure and confusion.

Two matches in Norway with similar starting times but in different divisions. The difference in location produces two different charts. I don't feel too happy when too many things are going on at once. This is a test.

Jupiter on the des of this chart has to be checked out again, although it didn't give the wealth of goals I was looking for last time. The Sun is opposition POF but by nature the Sun still indicates the favourite. Sol is in the degree of the nodes by trine. Rosenborg should deliver.

But then 4 out of 5 Scandinavian games starting at this time all ended a draw. Norrk?ping - Djurg?rdens played in Sweden at 19.05 CEST being one of them and ending 1-1, too.

So here is another problem.

I have noticed this kind of result from time to time: most of the games at a particular time but in very different locations all give the same result. On occasions it can happen that games at different times on the same day give the same result (usually noticeable when the result is a draw).

One possible approach would be to say that these 'all the same' results are not caused by the angles, and possibly not the Lord of the Hour, but rather by a planetary configuration. In the games Andrew quotes, the Moon is void. Now we must be careful about this. A few days ago in the horse racing topic I was cautious about generalising from a void Moon , but here we do have the same result in all the games, and a void Moon.

I am sure that a VoC Moon does not always give a draw. However these games had a void Moon by all definitions. There was no other planet (traditional or modern) that the Moon would make an aspect to (again traditional or 150, 30, 135 or 45) before it left Virgo. The degree position of the Moon in it's sign was greater than the degree position of any other planet. Perhaps it was also relevant that the Moon's dispositor was retrograde (Mercury), or that the Moon was separating from a 45 degree aspect with it's dispositor.

Perhaps worth keeping an eye on.

THe Midheaven is inconjunct POF at 3AR56. The Moon casts her antiscia to 7AQ19 and is opposite Mercury, L7, at 6LE56. I have chosen to throw a penny after the underdog and got a price of 10,5:1 at Betfair.

More like a wipeout! Apart from the result being extreme, I can't see what was going for the home team. When the home team can win from the descendant, then they are almost invincible and probably due to win the league. Arsenal did the same in the British Premier league som years ago. It is a signature of great strength!

There is a game in the Norwegian tippeliga this evening. They should be wearing scuba equipment by signs of the rain coming down. Sometimes I am so glad I am not a professional football player;

According to Placidus it is the hour of Mars.

The chart could be radical by sign or the Guards may be on the bridge, or the chart may be radical by triplicity. Two of these options give a leaning towards a draw. Yet, the Moon is on the ascendant and should work for the favourites, who are the guests. All the same, there are things to be watched and learnt in this match.

If we don't track it, we don't get it!

I'm pleased with this. I originally wanted to back Molde, but kept feeling it was wrong. Radical by triplicity, guards on the bridge and that stuff. Molde took a 0-1 lead and I kept saying it was wrong; 1-1 seemed the correct scoreline. The odds must have shifted considerably in online betting, meaning that the draw at some time must have been worth about 6:1. Let's follow on.
