Clarification 1 by granny_skot I was reading the horary rules for love/romance and re-read this line a few times "The matter is most promising when the significators are in water signs (Cancer, Scorpio, Pisces), or in the dignities of Venus." what does "or in the dignities of venus" mean, exactly? thank you Granny Quote Wed Aug 24, 2005 9:48 pm
by Deb To be in the dignities of Venus means to be in Venus's sign, exaltation, etc. Quote Wed Aug 24, 2005 10:26 pm
by granny_skot okay so to make certain I understand to be in Taurus or Libra (Venus signs) at 27Pisces (Venus Exalted) what about terms face triplicity? etc? thanks, Granny Quote Thu Aug 25, 2005 5:32 pm
by Sue Same thing. Venus rules the earth triplicity by day so when Venus is in any earth sign it is in the triplicity of Venus. In a Table of Essential Dignities you'll see that the first six degrees of Capricorn are in the terms of Venus, for example. But be aware that they go from 0?01 to 6?, etc. Terms of Mercury start at 6?01. Same with faces. First 10? of Aquarius is Venus, etc. Quote Thu Aug 25, 2005 10:20 pm
by granny_skot Not trying to be difficult but I want to be certain I understand. When it says to be in the dignities of Venus Does it only mean sign and exhaultation or does it also mean the terms, face or triplicity? thank you Granny. Quote Fri Aug 26, 2005 7:39 pm
by Deb The triplicity, terms, or face are also the dignities of Venus, yes. We normally refer to sign and exaltation rulership as the major dignities, and the triplicity, terms and face as the minor dignities. Obviously, the promising factor of being in the dignities of Venus in this matter is reduced with the lesser dignities. Quote Fri Aug 26, 2005 9:41 pm
