Thank you, Mark for Steven Birchfield & Goran Koncar presidential election charts. Music to my ears.
Thanks. Please note I originally inserted the 2012 Aries ingress rather than 2008 Aries ingress election at the top of Steven's delineation. This error has now been corrected. Mark
mr V K Choudry also predicted Obamas victory back in 2011

from him:

"The birth details of Prez Obama are still in controversy. I have no confidence in the birth charts in circulation.

Believing that the birth details of Mr. Mitt Romney are correct, I do not think he is going to win.
That is what I have said on SAMVA in 2011 that it is a second chance for Prez Obama.

Already two or three hours ago there were these news on the TV:

In a little town in the USA all citizens go to elect at midnight, and all together. They are ten and they voted:

5 for President Obama.
5 for Romney.

That's Dixville Notch, New Hampshire. They had quite a streak of predicting the winner for many years, but I think the past few elections have not been kind to them.

Hi Tom,

I guess with hurricane Sandy you have had more than enough on your plate lately. I know you have been busy with work too. Have you formed any opinion on the outcome yourself? Although with the results almost in I suppose its maybe wiser to keep your head down at this stage.

Just this tidbit, which may or may not play out; we'll see: in the last CNN poll an unmentioned bit in the polls internals may well have profound significance, if, and that is a big if, things play out this way. They noted 99% of Republicans are planning to vote for Romney. 59% of independents say they will vote for Romney and 5% of Democrats say they will vote for Romney. Since registered Democrats outnumber registered Republicans this 5% jumping parties plus the independents will provide an easy win for Romney and not just in the popular vote.

Furthermore this poll oversampled Democrats by 11%. Oversampling of Democrats is not a big deal in and of itself since they outnumber Republicans, and therefore should be oversampled, but 11% is high. If sufficient numbers go out and vote, and do so in these percentages, there are going to be a lot of eggs on a lot of pollsters' and pundits' faces tomorrow morning.

Yes I made a similar kind of comment earlier in the thread. Its all about voter turn out. Many of the swing states hang on just a 1 or 2 percentage margin. You might think that Republican supporters might be more motivated than Democrats at this point but we will see.

The really useful polls are those of people who are actually going to vote!

Astrologically, I have always thought Romney might still pull this off against the odds following legal challenges or even the House of Reps. Thats more based on the signification as Saturn in the 12th in the Libra Ingress. I see that chart in a very similar way to the way Goran delineates it.

Its just that the polling and evidence of how the electoral college votes stack up made me doubt this was still possible. If the polls are out it will certainly undermine their credibility.

your post is a fine example of why relying on one astro factor to express a high degree of confidence on the outcome is a poor way to do astrology..

same goes for the undue obsession with mercury retro which seemed to cloud many astrologers viewpoint on this election..

now i guess all those who got it right can open the door up to hubris in thinking it was due there superior technical knowledge or particular approach, overlooking others who might have used similar techniques and came to the opposite position here.. at least a few folks stuck their neck out and made a prediction!

lucky or unlucky guesses, that's all..

Yep. I think I demonstrated that in the thread that looked at previous elections with Mercury Rx.

Well put!

Well thats the view of many. Its a bit over cynical for me. I do hold out the hope we can learn from experiences like this and improve our technique. However, I think we should probably wait until we call our third or fourth election correctly before thinking we are on to something astrologically.

Any astrologer feeling a bit smug about the accuracy of their predictive technique following this result might want to keep this in mind:

I have yet to see any astrologer come close to the success of Paul the Octopus at the last World Cup.

hi mark,

paul the octopus is just a lucky guesser,lol...

i do remember all the work you went to the trouble of doing on past elections and mercury retro and while i neglected to mention that, i did really dig the fact you had done that.. thanks again for doing that!

me cynical? i suppose... i see astrology floundering in the darkness for the most part and astrologers being arrogant enough to think they actually know a lot based on not much of anything.. i wish there was more curiousity rather then less.. it seems to me folks are so attached to their particular approach they can't get beyond there particular approach.. i suppose i can be accused of having one too, but i maintain we know a lot less about astrology then we think we do and i would be the first person to shoot down someone else for thinking they know all that much about astrology, lol... thanks for initiating this thread and providing some ongoing juice to the conversation!
